You can have a physical UART when mounted in the baseboard (See: xitter.cf/enjoy_digital/status/1…) but you can also have several virtual UART over PCIe or direct MMAP access + debug capability over LiteX Server/PCIeBone.

Current resource usage of the LiteX M2SDR FPGA (XC7A200T) with LitePCIe Gen2 X4: ~6% LUTs, %3% Regs, 12% BRAM, 0% DSPs -> Still plenty of space for custom RF processing :)

Some more USRP x410 fun, this time transmitting at 500Mhz SR via a GPU Upsampler @SDR_Radio as a custom GR block. This is resampling by 500 from a 1Mhz signal, using barely any CPU.
