Countries will beg immigrants every day of the week, and twice on Sundays, to come to their rescue whenever they’re battling labor shortages. The moment those shortages are filled, they go “For decades, our immigration system has been exploited. We’re tightening our immigration to secure jobs for our citizens. #CitizensFirst”🤦🏽‍♂️
Canada is looking for skilled health care and social service professionals—nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists and social workers—to fill shortages in our health care system and provide essential services to Canadians! If you have the training, credentials and experience in health care and social services we’re looking for, explore our immigration pathways and build your future in Canada: bit.ly/4uXwAoe

Excellent piece @SarahArmani34 We are moving from analogue to digital in the NHS so we need the right people with the right skills and expertise to help shape things at the decision making table, this includes the nurses, midwives & AHPs who will be using the systems developed

Black women are in industries that don't want to see them, working in organisations that don't respect them, trying to survive in a society that seems to hate them and world still expects us to be strong all the time.

If people like Halle Berry get brushed off by doctors, imagine what the rest of us go through.
Halle Berry’s perimenopause story hits hard. After a full year of great sex, she woke up in the worst pain of her life, everything swollen and unrecognizable. Her doctor immediately diagnosed worst-case herpes. For 72 brutal hours, she and her new partner spiraled through trust issues… until tests revealed it wasn’t herpes at all. It was severe vaginal dryness from perimenopause. Her elite doctor had barely been trained on it. That moment flipped a switch: Halle decided to speak out publicly, despite warnings it could kill her career, and break the silence around perimenopause and menopause for millions of women. Over 50% of women experience genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), including vaginal dryness, yet it’s still wildly under-discussed and under-treated in medical training.

Good for Halle using her platform to advocate for older women’s healthcare. Our system really acts like women are just smaller men with a uterus and it has done such a disservice in health research and treatment.

I won't believe they are leaving until the people of Nanyuki actually confirm it. The British were "leaving" in 1963 yet BATUK has been here since. And even if they're leaving, the Americans have already replaced them in the name of Ebola.
THIS IS SUCH A HUGE VICTORY .... MASSIVE! and for us who live in Nanyuki the signs have been there... they've been leaving for the last couple of years, they've been quietly removing their mining equipment from the conservancies and moving the mzungus onto the conservancies and creating communities inside. them! The increased insecurity in nanyuki over the last few months was a telltale sign!!! FINALLY BATUK is LEAVING.... we have done so much to see this day come to pass!!

Twitter is a repository for mind vomit so that there can be space for new thoughts to form which in turn are expelled and the cycle goes on. We don't do this for likes.

It is an old Roman custom. A convicted man was given time to go home and commit suicide. That way his family could take over his property. If the state executed him, all his property would go to the state.
Forgive my naivety on matters law but why is sentence not given on the same day verdict is read?? Why does it need a separate day?
