New in @JournalofGISurg: How have IAP guidelines changed how we select IPMNs for surgery?🔪
Across 3 guideline eras, resected noninvasive cysts got bigger ⬆️(2.6>3cm) while invasive ones got smaller ⬇️(3.1>2.8cm) @Maker_MD @UCSFSurgery @BrighamSurgery

Check out our new paper on increased utilization of ITx in uveal melanoma liver metastases
Unlike cutaneous melanoma, use of ITx was NOT associated with improved survival. More liver directed therapies are needed 🔜

Hot off the press❗️@JAMANetwork 💪. We teamed up with #Prenuvo to study elective screening MRIs in healthy asymptomatic individuals to establish the true prevalence of pancreatic cysts. Now we know 6-7% of the population has a cyst. >21% of 80+yo. #UCSFSurgOnc #IPMN @UCSFSurgery
Among 21,651 asymptomatic adults screened with MRI, 6.3% had incidental pancreatic cystic lesions, with <1% ≥3 cm; risk increased with age, female sex, and certain medical or family histories. #PancreaticCysts #MRI
