Counterpoint: Ossoff is a moderate, tech-forward, pro-innovation, sensible Democrat.
Not quite a blue dog, not far left, and not 900 years old.
Non-zero chance you're looking at the ultimate Dem presidential candidate in the not distant future.
This is what wins nationally.
During my time as a college student in Georgia, the state was a solid Republican state. Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss held office. This marks the second instance in which backing a weak candidate has cost us a Senate seat there. A year ago, Ossoff was vulnerable; today he prevails by a wide margin.
It’s embarrassing and frankly pathetic that we have repeated this mistake. The literal definition of insanity.
Kudos to the GA GOP who did the best they could with a weak candidate.

Nigeria’s Electricity issues explains our political-economy a lot:
Lagos Coastal Road; FG would spend $2-4billion.
What FG needs to spend to improve Power infrastructure : (still won’t give you 24/7 power)
Genco debt: N4tn
Metering: $1.3bn
Transmission infrastructure: $6.5bn
Dr Tunji Alausa
Lots of impressive work here.
When I first arrived in the United States as a young man, I drove a taxi to earn money for my education. I even had to postpone starting school for several months to save enough.
When I eventually got to Chicago, I worked different jobs to support myself and pay my way through university. I know what it means to worry about tuition, accommodation and how to make ends meet while pursuing an education.
Those experiences have stayed with me.
I know what education made possible in my own life, and I believe every Nigerian child deserves that same opportunity, regardless of where they are born or what their parents can afford.
This is one reason education remains a major priority of our Renewed Hope administration.
Through NELFUND, we have provided over ₦372 billion in student loans for institutional fees and upkeep, helping young Nigerians remain in school and pursue their education.
Our technical and vocational education programme has attracted over 2.8 million applications. We have rehabilitated 38 technical colleges, while students in federal and selected state technical colleges now benefit from free school fees, boarding, textbooks and uniforms.
We have reached a new agreement with ASUU, providing for a 40% increase in academic staff remuneration and measures to improve stability in our universities.
A four-year course must take four years. Our young people deserve to complete their education on time and get on with their lives. Promise made, Promise Kept
In medical education, we are investing ₦110 billion in rehabilitating 24 medical schools. Annual nursing enrolment has increased from 28,000 to 115,000, while medical and dental enrolment has risen from 5,000 to 12,000.
Nigeria needs more doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and we must build the capacity to train them here at home.
Over one million children who were previously out of school have been returned to learning. We are investing in teacher development, expanding educational opportunities for girls, and implementing a new national curriculum that restores Nigerian History to our classrooms.
Our children must know where we have come from, understand the country they belong to, and be prepared to take responsibility for its future.
I commend the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa @DrTunjiAlausa, the Minister of State, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad @Suwaiba_Said, and the entire education team @NigEducation for their dedication to this important work.
I am particularly pleased that the team has developed an interactive A–Z of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), bringing together the reforms, programmes, achievements and opportunities across our education system.
I invite every Nigerian to visit edu4pbat.ng and explore the A–Z of NESRI.
If you are a parent, find out what opportunities are available for your children. If you are a student, explore the programmes you can benefit from. If you are a teacher, see what support is available.
And if something is not working as it should in your community, I want to hear about it. Your feedback will help us identify problems and address them.
Our journey from reform to opportunities and shared prosperity must begin with education.
The circumstances of a child’s birth should never determine the limits of their ambition. Our responsibility is to give every Nigerian child a fair chance to fulfil their potential.
We have more work to do, and I am determined to see it through.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President
This thing is not black and white, you know my politics enough to know my position on these things generally but there is a lot of nuance involved.

Today's results are better understood as a left-center wave, not a woke one. Trump lost big but so did a lot of far left ideas.
- Billionaire tax failed in CA
- Transgender school sports restrictions passed in WA
- Increased penalties for fentanyl dealing and even possession passed in CO
- Wiener won over Chan in SF
Nationwide the electoral mood was normie lib wine mom, not far left. A victory against the horseshoe.
This state elected a Democrat but look at the policy measures that passed.
Very Republican, that's why it would be stupid to assume a broad mandate.
It's a repudiation of the candidates and the party.
Good
PRESS RELEASE
OYO POLICE COMMAND BROKERS PEACE IN DISPUTE OVER LATE SINGER TOLUWANISINGS’ BURIAL, PARTIES SIGN UNDERTAKING TO END PUBLIC EXCHANGES
The Oyo State Police Command has successfully intervened in the dispute arising from disagreements over the burial arrangements of late Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, following concerns over allegations of conspiracy, defamation of character and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace between the parties involved.
The intervention followed information received by the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, psc, mnips, on 28th October 2026, concerning the disagreement between the deceased’s family and associates over the proposed burial arrangements, which had generated tensions and exchanges across various public communication platforms.
In view of the potential implications of the disagreement for public peace and order, the Commissioner of Police, exercising his statutory responsibilities under Section 4 of the Police Act and other relevant provisions of the law, directed that all parties be invited to the Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, for an intervention aimed at preventing further escalation and facilitating an amicable resolution.
Consequently, at the conclusion of the engagement held today, 3rd November 2026, all parties, comprising the deceased’s wife, Mrs Olayemi Elizabeth Damilola; his father, Mr Muniru Olayemi; his friends and associates, including Oyindamola Esther, Babadunni Gbolabo and Comrade Lawal Ademola Rafiu, as well as the deceased’s personal assistant and other representatives, entered into and signed a peace undertaking before the Commissioner of Police.
Under the terms of the undertaking, all parties agreed to maintain peace and be of good behaviour, refrain from any act capable of causing a breach of the peace, and discontinue public exchanges, interviews and discussions capable of inflaming tensions or aggravating the existing disagreement surrounding the unfortunate demise of the singer and related issues.
Furthermore, the parties expressly undertook to discontinue the dissemination of information, narratives, allegations and publications relating to the matter through social media platforms, print media, radio, blogs and other communication channels, including publications made through their respective proxies, agents, associates and representatives. They equally agreed not to grant interviews, provide access or facilitate engagements with individuals or media platforms for the purpose of further disseminating such narratives. In addition, each party undertook to direct their respective proxies and associates to desist from making, sponsoring, amplifying or circulating publications capable of reigniting the disagreement or undermining the peace agreement.
In reinforcing the terms of the undertaking, the Commissioner of Police warned that the agreement must be respected by all parties and extended to their proxies, agents, associates and representatives. He cautioned that no individual should take advantage of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise to instigate hostility, promote unsubstantiated allegations or engage in conduct capable of disrupting public peace. Any person whose actions constitute an offence under applicable laws will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
The Command therefore calls on members of the public, bloggers, media practitioners and other interested individuals to exercise restraint, respect the undertaking entered into by the parties and refrain from amplifying unverified information or publications capable of reigniting tensions. All concerned are advised to respect the commitments made by the parties, as any conduct independently amounting to a criminal offence will be addressed in accordance with the law.
