I saw this happen with crypto.
I started mining Bitcoin in early 2013, when it still felt like it belonged to the people.
No institutions. No ETFs. No endless KYC. Just builders, miners, cypherpunks and regular people experimenting with freedom.
Then slowly…
Then slowly, the industry got swallowed.
Regulations came in. Institutions came in. Governments came in.
And now, in most countries, buying or owning BTC goes through controlled, monitored, regulated rails.
That’s how it usually works.
