Big words don’t make your brand look smart
A lot of brands here slap a tagline on their profile that they think sounds impressive, and all it does is confuse everyone reading it
Bad copy: “Powering the next generation of cross-chain portfolio intelligence”
Good copy: “See everything you hold across your crypto wallets in one place”
If you’ve built a tool that lets people track all their wallets in one place, just say that
Now someone can actually understand what you’re offering without having to ask in the replies or dig deeper
You spend so much time trying to get people to your page, then make them work to figure out why they should care
Tell them what the product does and how it helps them
If a normal person can't tell what you do in five seconds, rewrite it
I don’t think we talk enough about how rough it's going to get for a lot of people
A lot of us use AI daily, try the new stuff and have some good understanding of it
I'd like to think that puts us in a better position, but I wouldn't assume it makes any of us safe either
What worries me is people who haven't even started, and maybe somewhat dislike AI
Imagine spending years getting good at your job, only to be told the company no longer needs you (this is about to become very common)
You don't have to love AI, but please spend some time understanding what it can do in your line of work
“AI is replacing human force” is no longer a theory
@Barclays is cutting 5,000 people- about 5% of the whole bank
Around 60% of them are support roles, & developers are on the list
The same people told to learn to code so AI wouldn’t replace them
The thing is Barclays isn’t even struggling. £2.8B profit this quarter, up 12%, plus a £500M share buyback the same morning
We’re cooked.
Great points also by @R2D2zen xitter.cf/R2D2zen/status/2113190…
As he said, transition will be painful for some, especially for those who do not adapt
Having worked at Barclays Bank for almost a decade, I see this as a natural evolution of the industry.
You do not need thousands of people manually updating spreadsheets, CRMs, procedures and processes when technology can automate much of that work.
Bank back offices employ thousands of people, and many of these roles will inevitably change.
Yes, some jobs will disappear. But new roles will emerge in fields that do not yet exist or that we are only beginning to understand.
We saw similar shifts when email and digital banking transformed the industry.
The transition will be painful for some, especially those who do not adapt. But for those who do, AI represents a massive opportunity.
It's never been a better time to focus on yourself
Cut down on the scrolling and give yourself something to work on that you're actually excited about
There's so much you can try with AI now, even if you start with a small tool that makes your own work easier
Or take an idea that you've had sitting in your notes and finally see if you can make it work
There are still teams in crypto looking for help and plenty of things people complain about that someone could build a solution for
Pick something and give it a few hours of proper attention each week
Never been a better time to be a builder tbh
Talking about onboarding the masses to crypto between your fifth and sixth argument of the day is crazy
Someone gets curious about crypto, decides to jump on here and sees the same people arguing over the most stupid things
You think they’re looking at the timeline and wanting to get involved?
We know there are good people and opportunities here because we’ve been around long enough to find them
Someone seeing this space for the first time doesn’t know any of that
They just see how you’re treating each other
Start with ourselves first
You'd think this was easy money from the posts you've seen on the timeline
A big W gets shared everywhere, but you barely hear from the people losing money trying to hit the same thing
Then you'll see five wallets spending this much and every single one is down
Easy to say “that could have been me” about the winner
Could have been you in this screenshot too
I see people grind insane hours in the hope of making it
For their sake, I really hope they do
There's a lot of good people here finishing work, sorting out irl responsibilities then getting back to the laptop to continue grinding
I respect it a lot
You can tell how badly someone wants to improve their situation by the effort they're putting in
If you're reading this, I hope you win
We forget how blessed we really are in crypto
You make an extra $1,000 and immediately start thinking it’s nothing because of what other people are posting
Someone else out there is trying to work out how many extra hours they need just to cover the rent
Or taking a second job when they barely get time with their family as it is
I think we forget about that side of life when we spend too much time here
Having an opportunity to earn through something you’re good at is a blessing
Be grateful
Can we talk about how downhill CT is going?
The amount of bullsh*t and drama you have to scroll through every day is exhausting
People drag the same stuff out for days because it’s doing numbers, on top of it, everyone else jumps in with a take nobody asked for
There’s still plenty worth being here for, but for it to feel like that, curating your feed is very important
If you want to be a winner here amongst others, surround yourself with such
Some people here have an insane amount of ego for how little work they do
They clearly don’t care about what they’re sending over, then get rude when someone asks for changes
How can some people be proud to do half a job?
There are people here desperate for an opportunity while others have a good gig and don't care about it enough
If you’re putting in no effort and you’re difficult to work with, don’t be surprised when they stop working with you
The standard is low in this space as it is, but trust me when I say there are good people here that can replace you and will work harder than you
Finding a good intern to run your socials ain’t easy
You want someone who understands your audience and knows which trends fit the brand and which ones to leave alone
It’s painful watching your socials guy force it when they simply don't need to
A post can do numbers and still make your brand look desperate and painful
There’s a lot more to running socials than baiting people into giving you a few views
Study the few accounts that get it right, on X and other socials included
I don’t even need to drop the @'s
Very proud of my brother StarPlatinum
When you're grinding this hard and making money, never forget how many lives you can change with it
Starting with those closest to you first who sacrificed everything for you
God is great
Big respect to Adam
He's one of the few people here willing to put that much behind a project he wants to see succeed
Believes and understands the vision from a mile away
Penguins aren't going anywhere 🐧
This weekend I wanted to support one of my favorite collections during a difficult time. Decided to buy 117 Pudgy Penguins on chain to spread confidence for the community I have grown to love.
Wanted to support this OG project that’s bringing happiness to many. The Huddle will stay strong.
Return to Pudgy Penguins.
