I think there was an 8-second difference between the time Keeneland's 4th and Belmont's 5th went off. Kept @PletcherRacing busy as he watched on BEL big infield board as Tip Top Thomas finished 2nd to Pentathlon while he watched on his phone as Damavand won at KEE.

I certainly have some thoughts on this conversation with @EJXD2 , but the most obvious and telling number is below, 46k views and counting. First time @SJBray has ever commented on Eddie D’s handle ‘Deltas’, and the subject gets more views than ever; 10X more 🤔 ‘Production Value’ includes on-air personalities who have earned the trust and interest of the audience.
Got a lot of responses from my original post below. I’ll leave Exhibit A here as a thought about how national distribution and quality production is paramount over random streaming services with zero production. This year the Pacific Classic @DelMarRacing was covered nationally with full production from both @fandueltv and @FOXSports and @TheNYRA . Both networks also had a full runway of promotion in the week leading up to the race. The result : The second largest day of handle
in the history of @DelMarRacing . That just doesn’t happen by magic. Most sports would crave for the hours of national coverage we have from @FOXSports and had @fandueltv
Not to give @TVG or @FanduelTV all the credit, but the absence of quality production is a major reason for those tracks being in the red YOY. They all previously had full production when on our network. They now have elevator music promoting their product, that’s why @parxracing was down 17% as well. @ChurchillDowns was in the green as we gave full coverage. We have the distribution that is needed to put racing in front of eyeballs, something that has taken years to generate, however that doesn’t matter without some sort of production value. Running races with a Spotify play list will not help the sport as it becomes unwatchable to most novice players.
Not everyone has to like us, I get it, but those of you that wished for the “mute button” all these years finally got it…look what has happened. Numbers down. BTW racing would be lucky to have the same exposure as the Kardashians, even if you don’t like them.
Replying to @SJBray
Uh, Simon,
The programming on your network was horrible from day one.
We wanted horse racing. Not nitwits babbling.
It got worse with each passing year.
We wanted the equivalent to original MTV, you gave us the equivalent to the Kardashian’s.
