"They seem genuinely convinced they're members of some landed Southern aristocracy because they own a blazer, drink bourbon, and once stood near a chandelier. That's what makes Ole Miss arrogance so spectacular.
Texas arrogance is backed by money, academics, and championships. Alabama arrogance is backed by the greatest football dynasty the sport has ever seen.
Ole Miss arrogance is backed by a bow tie, a tailgate, and a deeply held conviction that putting on loafers magically transforms a Mississippi redneck into a member of the British peerage. They're not even pretending to be athletic royalty anymore. They've skipped directly to pretending they're actual royalty. The Grove isn't Versailles. Oxford isn't the Hamptons. And wearing pastel pants while getting hammered under a tent doesn't make you high society. It makes you a redneck with a dress code.”

This is partially because of the weirdo responses to Kirk Herbstreit's dog popup and partially because some people are just innately miserable.
It takes zero effort to just be happy for someone else being happy. Zero.
Don't go to the store. Don't watch Pat McAfee. Scroll past a tweet. But, also maybe go touch grass or ask yourself why seeing someone else be happy and thrive weirdly makes you so upset.
It's the smallest dick energy imaginable.

At the heart of the SEC v LSU situation is this existential question for college athletics: who is a pro athlete?
Because if the answer is it’s someone “who competes in sports for compensation” then college athletics is already populated with thousands of pro athletes.

I just want to make sure I have this correct.
Sixth-year players: Fine
European pro basketball players: Fine
Rookie minicamp participants: Fine
Exhibit 10 contract: Fine
Training camp participant: EXPELLED FROM THE CONFERENCE
Right?

One of the kids everyone said needed to “apply himself” became a heavy equipment mechanic.
He hated school but loved working with his hands and teachers saw a bad student.
Turns out he just liked fixing $300,000 machines more than writing essays.
He learned diesel and heavy equipment repair and went straight to work.
Then he figured out the real money was going mobile.
Bought a truck.
Loaded it with tools.
Loaded tacos for lunch.
Started going directly to job sites when equipment broke down.
Now construction companies call HIM when a machine stops moving.
And when a $300k piece of equipment is sitting dead on a job site…
Nobody asks what his GPA was.
They ask:
“How fast can you get here and can it be today?!
Will YOU consider to RT so more C and D students see this. 🙏🏽🙌🏽
