The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has said the massive infrastructure investments being undertaken by the administration of President @officialABAT are connecting Nigeria’s major economic corridors, strengthening regional trade, reducing transportation costs and opening new opportunities for businesses and communities across the country.
He noted that by weaving concrete veins of commerce through every economic corridor, the Tinubu administration is turning infrastructure into a masterstroke of national transformation.
Speaking in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday during the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) presidential campaign rally, Senator @KashimSM said the Federal Government’s investments in strategic transport infrastructure are designed to link agricultural and industrial production centres with markets, stimulate employment and accelerate economic development across the nation’s geopolitical zones.
He described the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Biu–Maiduguri Superhighway as a major component of the administration’s infrastructure development agenda, explaining that the project will strengthen economic connections between the North-Central and North-Eastern regions.

Vice President @KashimSM has said that Nigerians possess the talent and capacity to occupy leadership positions in global sports, describing the appointment of Mr Samson Adamu as the first Nigerian General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (@CAF_Online) as further evidence of the country’s potential for international leadership.
The Vice President said Nigeria’s sporting achievements have been driven by the quality of its people, the dedication of sports administrators and the institutions that discover, nurture and project Nigerian talent onto the global stage.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, while receiving the newly appointed CAF General Secretary and a delegation led by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (@NatSportsComm), Malam @ShehuDikko, VP @KashimSM congratulated Adamu on his appointment and charged him to distinguish himself through exemplary leadership and service to African football.
“Our nation has earned its place in the world of sports. We have flown our flag in arenas where few expected us to perform magic, and we have made the impossible appear almost familiar, fundamentally because of the quality of our people,” he said.
Conveying President @officialABAT’s goodwill, the Vice President described Adamu as a role model for young Nigerians and urged him to approach his new responsibilities with diligence, integrity and a strong sense of national pride.

One thing I wish to leave behind for my kids is a habit of reading and a study full of books. That’s what my father did. I grew up in a house with a room full of books, and I became obsessed with them, stealing books to read. When he was ill and mostly away, I spent my days in his study, reading all types of books. At some point, I began to imitate what I read by writing down my own thoughts and ideas.
Even though I grew up with my native language as the primary language in our household, the books were my escape, and I never had to struggle with basic grammar. I have never struggled with an English language test or exam even as a science student. By the time I was reading Brighter Grammar, I had already absorbed the rules from the books I had read.
So, reading is your surest bet. The AI age may seem to have rendered these skills obsolete, but in-person exams, whether IELTS or exams in any subject taught in English, will always be there to expose you.
A few months ago, my grammar was not particularly great, especially here on X.
Then, one beautiful morning, I received a call from Dr. Oby Ezekwesili ( @obyezeks ) that changed that aspect of my life forever.
She advised me to go back to Primary 3 and rebuild my foundation in English.
She said something profound: Once you fix the foundation, everything else begins to fall into place.
I took her advice wholeheartedly. I went back to study Primary 3 Grammar and Comprehension, and that simple decision transformed my command of English.
I remain deeply grateful to @obyezeks for that invaluable piece of advice. Its impact on my life has been remarkable.
But this experience taught me something much bigger about education.
Many of us are struggling today, not because we lack intelligence, but because we are building on weak educational foundations.
We keep trying to fix problems at the top when the real problems are at the bottom.
Sometimes, the greatest form of progress is having the humility to go back to the basics and rebuild properly.
You cannot build excellence on a foundation you have refused to repair.

So, 22.42% of the undergraduate graduating class, or approximately one in every 4.46 students, earned First Class honours. This is an encouraging performance and a record the university should be proud of, because it reflects far better on the school than the culture of glorifying low numbers of First Class graduates, low pass rates or mass failure as proof of academic rigour. And Covenant University has consistently distinguished itself as a competitive institution.
BREAKING: Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, celebrated excellence at its 21st Convocation today as 371 undergraduates graduated with First Class honours — about 22.4% of the 1,655 undergraduate cohort. The university released a total of 1,843 graduates (including 188 postgraduates).
Miss Etta Queendolin (Computer Engineering) emerged as the overall best graduating student with a stellar CGPA of 4.99.

I resisted the urge to engage with this disturbing post, but it kept appearing on my feed, and each time, it bothered me even more. These are supposed to be the finest among us: a trained medical doctor dispensing such crude reasoning that you would mistake him for a practising Boko Haram ideologue. A man known for preaching religious tolerance and peace was assassinated for simply disagreeing with certain people’s sectarian views, and you claim he posed a greater danger to Islam than the terrorists and bandits butchering people across the North. What sort of moral reasoning leads an educated person to such a conclusion?
I do not disagree that we, as a nation and as a region, are badly governed, and that the historical disparities are well documented. But there is a reason why, despite our shared dysfunction, the South has fared better than we have. We cannot build a peaceful society while harbouring this dangerous ideology, this disease of rejoicing over the murder of another human being just because you consider his religious convictions incompatible with yours. There is something profoundly disturbing about a society in which even the educated can rationalise such barbarism, and where sectarian intolerance has so completely corrupted our moral judgement that we can no longer recognise the humanity of those with whom we disagree.
You do not have to agree with a man’s interpretation of religion to defend his right to live. And if your understanding of faith leaves you more outraged by theological disagreement than by the slaughter of innocent human beings, perhaps it is your understanding of faith that deserves the closest scrutiny.

If you were in Kaduna today, you would understand that campaign mode has been fully activated, and Governor Uba Sani has been a gracious host for the flag-off of the presidential campaign. The opposition may continue consoling themselves with AI-generated images, but the streets and the venue were packed, and the atmosphere was electric. We were on the ground to witness it all.
