For a while 50 Cent was sending his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, $40,000 a month in child support for their son Marquise. There was no court order he was just paying it on his own.
That stopped being enough for her. She asked for $50,000 a month and went to court to force it. 50 Cent then took the case to New York Family Court and asked a judge to decide the number.
After looking at his income and her expenses, the judge turned down her request and said even the $40,000 he was already paying was too much.
Support was cut to $6,700 a month an 83% drop. The court also threw out Tompkins’ $50 million lawsuit that wanted half his estate.
Years later Marquise claimed $80,000 a year still wasn’t enough to live on in New York City.

During the Covid pandemic, Rachel Matjeng introduced Cat Matlala to General Sandra Malebe-Thema (BBL General), who was then responsible for the SAPS police colleges. Sandra tried to get Medicare appointed to screen or vaccinate SAPS trainees. She later advised Matlala to lease the SAPS Hospital at the Tshwane Academy and offered to provide a “proxy” so she could get a share in the profits. The plan was for her to direct as many trainees as possible to the hospital so Matlala could bill SAPS heavily.
