Throwback to when I was lucky enough to meet Walter Koenig. Such a kind and gentle man who proved once again that even when dressed similar, everyone has more swag than me.

This over the top coloring, effect, and direction made an already comically dramatic scene even more comical.
One of my greatest fears is starting to come true. With Toriyama gone, Dragon Ball is going to slowly lose what it actually is.
“Beerus” is just the beginning of Dragon Ball slowly being turned into dark toned, quick action, no characterization slop.
I’m still sitting here, kind of dumbfounded at just how bad Episode 3 of Beerus was.
The fact that people like all of this quick-cut nonsense is mind boggling. A story is allowed to have pace and downtime. Characters are allowed to do things other than have action sequences.
“Beerus” was pitched as the definite version of this story and yet I would argue that Episode 3 feels like it was made with you having watched BoG or Super in mind. This is not in anyway for someone to enter the franchise with.
The washed out colors looked ridiculous and resembled nothing even close to Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball is slowly becoming what people who never watched Dragon Ball thought Dragon Ball was.
Just sat down for Episode 3 of Dragon Ball Super Beerus. I have no idea what the hell I just watched. That was the choppiest thing I’ve ever seen.
Oh wow. Great. The line art looks better. The episode is also a mess with no regard for how a story is paced.
#Spooktober2026 Day 25: “Hellsing Ultimate II” (2006) - Now we’re really starting to get going here. Walter is a beast and of course, Alucard is epic!
#Spooktober2026 Day 24: “Sleepy Hollow” (1999) - Very aesthetically pleasing, but the story was not for me. Just came off as a bit dull and dragged out. Film could have been 20 minutes shorter.
#Spooktober2026 Day 23: “Backrooms” (2026) - Absolutely loved this film! Apparently the Director was not directly inspired by David Lynch, but rather by people around him who loved Lynch. I am totally here for it!
#Spooktober2026 Day 22: “House at the End of the Street” (2012) - Good twist. But honestly the movie as a whole was kind of insufferable. Every character was awful, the dialogue was awkward, and the film was trying to be too many different things.
#Spooktober2026 Day 21: “Spirit Halloween: The Movie” (2022) - Really fun kids movie. I didn’t think they still made stuff like this. Awesome to see that they do.
