The effects of cancer treatment on smell and taste are often overlooked but significant. Chemo can stop taste bud and smell cell reproduction, and voice box surgery may eliminate the ability to perceive flavour. Please RT to help amplify our message this #AnosmiaAwarenessDay

#RareDiseaseDay at #NIH I will be watching in support of the amazing work that is being done at NIH. Thanks to @ncats_nih_gov and the @NIHClinicalCntr. I am watching in support for patients like my sister who have been living with a rare disorder (Neuromyelitis Optics) all of her adult life and in support of those closer to my research area with #taste and #smell disorders especially #congenital #anosmia often forgotten in the rare disease space. Looking forward to engaging and collaborating too to shed light to these patients, the disease and more. #rarediseaseday2024 #rarediseaseawareness
