What he had was GPT-4, a budget that was a joke by design, and a public Twitter thread documenting every step so anyone could watch it fail. The AI did the work. It generated 10 names and his followers voted TurboToad out of the shortlist. It described the mascot, a futuristic toad later called Quantum Leap, which Midjourney drew. It wrote the concept, the tokenomics and the whitepaper, and by day two it had produced 75% of the smart contract. Then it failed. The token launched on Uniswap on day 3 and a front-running bot swallowed almost the entire liquidity pool within moments, leaving the thing dead on arrival and hundreds of dollars over budget on gas alone.
