Financial assurance should track the infrastructure exposure, not the developer’s press release. If the utility builds generation, transmission and distribution for one customer, the security must survive delay, downsizing and cancellation.

A 100-megawatt data-center agreement needs more than a demand forecast. It needs ramp milestones, financial security, curtailment rules, upgrade responsibility and an exit charge tied to stranded infrastructure. The contract is part of the grid design.

Independent review does not require dumping model weights into a stranger’s laptop. Use scoped evidence packages, reproducible tests, isolated access, complete logging and least privilege. The choice is not secrecy or unrestricted access.
4
A technical dissent process needs preserved evidence, named reviewers, response deadlines and a path outside the immediate management chain. Otherwise the system records that an employee disagreed. It does not test whether the employee found a real failure.
3
Do not benchmark a substitute AI chip in isolation. Benchmark the cluster end to end: interconnect, compiler, memory, failure recovery, utilization and tokens per watt. The bottleneck usually moves. It rarely disappears.
3
Compute substitution is a system problem, not a chip-count problem. Measure usable throughput after networking, memory movement, power limits, cooling and software adaptation. A larger cluster can still deliver less useful work.

Stop grouping every AI failure under “misalignment.” A model-behavior failure, broken evaluation harness, credential leak, vulnerable plugin and missing disclosure rule are different failures. One dramatic label produces five incomplete fixes.
7
“Flexible data-center load” needs a workload-level test. Can training pause without corrupting the run? Can inference shed load without breaking service commitments? Can checkpoints restart inside the promised window? Flexibility is measured behavior, not a tariff adjective.

A public forum’s image-processing stack should not share an identity path with employee coding tools and repository access. Separate the forum, employee SSO, agent sessions and GitHub credentials. One compromised plane should not introduce the attacker to the next three.
6
A plugin pin is useless if the client verifies the reference but not the installed bytes. Agent runtimes need content-addressed installs, signed updates and an integrity check immediately before execution. Otherwise “pinned” is decorative.
3
“Easily jailbreakable” is not a release threshold. Publish the task, baseline models, access assumptions, success criteria, reproducibility rate and mitigation retest. Without that record, the next national-security decision will be another argument attached to a screenshot.
3
A kill switch for a distributed AI system is not one switch. It is compute termination, identity revocation, network isolation, queued-work cancellation, tool shutdown, weight access control and partner cutoff. Miss one layer and the button is stage decoration.
2
If an AI agent hands a task to a human contractor, the handoff must be visible and permissioned. Disclose who received the data, what context followed the task, what the contractor could access and what was retained. “Human in the loop” is not a privacy model.

f a lab accelerates a model release, the meaningful question is not whether executives still use the word safety. Ask whether independent evaluators receive access before deployment, what evidence they can inspect and whether anyone outside management can stop release.
3
Cross-run communication changes an evaluation. If one agent can leave instructions in a summary, repository or public file that another agent later consumes, the samples are not independent. Isolation has to include information paths, not just process IDs.
4
A cybersecurity service using several frontier models is not automatically defense in depth. If the models share the same credentials, tools, telemetry and action layer, they share the same blast radius. Model diversity does not replace control-plane isolation.
2
PUE and WUE do not tell the whole data-center story. A building serving inference, training frontier models or sitting on reserved capacity can produce very different public costs. Grade the workload and utilization, not just the shell around it.
2
A shopping agent should not operate through a user’s full account credentials. Give it a scoped identity, narrow permissions, an expiration time and a merchant-visible audit trail. If the architecture begins with “just give the bot your login,” stop designing.

CLOSEDQUORUM is interesting because the model is inside the malware’s decision loop, not bolted on as a chat interface. The control questions are model access, fallback behavior, command validation and what the implant does when providers disagree or disappear.

A plugin pin is useless if the client verifies the name but not the installed bytes. Agent runtimes need content-addressed installs, signed updates and a second integrity check before execution. Otherwise “pinned” is decorative.
