What wake-up call do folks need? Are we going to argue that our institutions are resilient until they do succeed in throwing out elections? They walked into a building riddled with bullet holes where people had died trying to storm it and voted to overthrow the election anyway.

This is why New Zealand is running laps around the so-called “greatest country in the world” in their virus response. Because they hold these cowards accountable publicly instead of sowing distrust through ruthless equivocation.
One of the most amazingly savage interviews you'll ever watch. She has no chill whatsoever. It's like watching someone's anxiety dream

Every single American needs to watch this clip of Obama talking about voting rights. He calls out GOP for: -closing polling places -targeting students & minorities with voter ID laws -attacking voting rights with "surgical precision" -undermining USPS

I’m worried about so many different parts of New York. Like what’s going to happen go all those wholesalers on broadway in the 20s and 30s and Chinatown and midtown hotdog vendors and chicken rice carts. Is the diamond district okay? What about all the trim stores? 🥺

🤗Read this! Exclamation marks make messages seem more friendly! Use lots of them! Also, emojis! ❤️ When women write at work, they often use more exclamation marks and snuggly writing! 🥰 Is this because of a difference in women? Or a difference in how we treat women? *Hugs!*😺

The policing we’re seeing isn’t about “crowd control.” It’s about what the president said: “domination.” We know this from decades of research, but you don’t need the research to understand how their aggression fuels the escalation. It’s plain to see now. theatlantic.com/health/archi…

A study published in 2017 found that 3% of people hit by rubber bullets died of the injury. Fifteen percent of the 1,984 people studied were permanently injured by the rubber bullets, also known as “kinetic impact projectiles.” latimes.com/california/story…

This is a really eye-opening thread showing the size of protests in places like Harrisonburg, Va., Belfast, Me., Bentonville, Ark., as captured by journalists on the scene.

this tweet should probably go in textbooks: 3 sentences, laid back to back, by the same publication and ask students to note which use the active and which the passive voice
Minneapolis: A photographer was shot in the eye. Washington, D.C.: Protesters struck a journalist with his own microphone. Louisville: A reporter was hit by a pepper ball on live television by an officer who appeared to be aiming at her. nyti.ms/2ZYDFtv

Good morning, New York people. A reminder that this city is trash, but it is also lovely and one-of-a-kind and I'm very genuinely appreciative of every experience I've lived here.
