Ilhan Omar about to pretend to be shocked that she “somehow” married her own brother.
YIKES: Ilhan Omar was just asked if she married her brother on Live TV Her answer: “Not to my knowledge…” WHAT?! She can’t even say “NO”?! What other person would answer this question like that? Things are about to get bad for Ilhan.

Of course Brady Tkachuk scores the first goal of the game in his return to Ottawa! #GoSensGo #FlaPanthers
I haven’t been this excited about an Ottawa Senators game since the Pittsburgh Penguins beat them in Game 7 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals.

Devon Levi on his mindset when the Edmonton Oilers acquired him and why he didn't feel the need to prove himself right away: “Obviously I know what I'm capable of. I didn't really try to come in here and prove anything. Like at this point of my development, I kind of know what I am, and I just wanted to come in and have fun and play with the best players in the world, come into an amazing environment and enjoy myself. It's such a pleasure to be here. So not putting that extreme stress of we need to win the Cup on day one or win the starting position on day one, but just enjoy it, like have fun being a pro hockey player in a franchise that is historic.” #LetsGoOilers

Mike Babcock on what stands out most about Devon Levi: “I mean, he's ultra competitive. What I like about Levi every day I walk in here there's a smile on his face. He's always working out. He's always working. He's competitive as can be. Feels good about himself. When you meet his mom and dad, you see why. I mean, he just seems like a great kid. What's his record? 5-1? I mean, not a bad record. Good for him.” #LetsGoOilers

Spencer Carbery on how the Montreal Canadiens have changed their defensive approach since last season: “From looking just surface level, and this is just my take on it from watching a little bit of the pre-scouts, from watching them play, from looking at some of the underlying analytics, it looks like they're the same team, same personnel. They're trying to be a more aggressive defensive team. And what I mean by that is, I noticed on the film, D extremely aggressive down the walls, trying to pressure you in the neutral zone. So it looks to me like they're trying to use their skating, and their defensive metrics are all up. They've improved defensively. And so it seems like to me, Marty's [St. Louis] looking at it, okay how are we going to get over the hump here? How are we going to beat the Carolinas, the Floridas of the world? And we've gotta become an elite defensive team. It's no secret. That's the recipe in sports in this league. If you want to win a championship, you better be an elite defensive team. And it feels like that's what they've really tried to address. Now, they're not going to do it the same way that necessarily Carolina does it or Florida does it, but it looks like they're using their team speed to defend. So, closing quick, D aggressive, because all their D can skate.” #GoHabsGo #ALLCAPS

Spencer Carbery breaks down the differences between the Carolina Hurricanes’ and New Jersey Devils’ speed: “I would say their speed's a little bit different from a standpoint of what I noticed about New Jersey, and I won't try to go too long with this. But New Jersey's speed, a lot of it is upfront with their forward group. So now they become a line rush team where they're very dangerous off the rush: creative, middle entry, delays. They get you in what we call the soup, where you're spinning around a lot in the defensive zone. They're skating, Bratt, Hughes, go down the list, Mercer. Where this is a little bit different. Their speed, the way they utilize it here [in Carolina], isn't being creative off the rush. It is putting a puck in behind you, and they are going to chase it down and pressure you. And then when we get the puck, how they use their skating, their forwards and D are all great skaters, and so now they're pressuring you with their skating. So now I get a puck and someone's flying at me with speed. Now I'm being rushed into making a decision and a play. So I think there's a little bit of a difference in how they utilize it. Both are fast teams, but just the way they utilize their speed to their benefit, I think it's a little bit different.” #CarolinaCulture #NJDevils #ALLCAPS

Paul Maurice on how deep the Atlantic Division has become and how that's changed over the years: “You're not going to be allowed a strong lull. Everybody's going to have one at least, and you have to survive that. You can't be that far away from anybody because you can catch any one team, but you're not catching four. And there isn't a weak team in the group. You just look at Detroit's analytics. They might be at the bottom, but they're outshooting and outchancing teams every night, it's not going for them. So this is their lull. They'll come out hot out of this. Four or five years ago, the bottom half of the Atlantic Division, if you will, was in a full-on rebuild and you're pounding those teams. Well, five years later, they get the benefits of the rebuild. So there's the Stützles of the world, some great players on each one of these teams, which is going to make for really exciting hockey. You always say when you're in a division like this, then it's harder to come out of it. That might be true, but by the time you're done 84 games in this division, your games right or you won't even be in the conversation. So it certainly trains you.” #FlaPanthers

I wonder if Brady Tkachuk will get teary-eyed during his video tribute. 🤔

Paul Maurice on how he believes Senators fans "should" welcome Brady Tkachuk back to Ottawa: “However they feel. Like, that's what this is all about. It's okay. If you're unhappy, come unhappy. If you loved watching him play, come watch him play. If you're jilted, be jilted. Bring the passion. Bring whatever it is that you feel. Don't come mad because the guy beside you's mad, or happy because the guy beside you's happy. It's about hockey, even what pro sports is all about let it all fly. We'll enjoy it.” #GoSensGo #FlaPanthers

A great soundbite from Mike Babcock on why he believes the Edmonton Oilers are capable reaching another level: “Over time were going to learn to play right. And so I guess what I'd say to you is you can't give out gifts. If they earn them, no problem. If you give out gifts though, those are hard to overscore. We did it tonight [against Minnesota]. We were able to make those mistakes and still do a job, but I just think we're way better than this. I don't think. I know. And so I'm excited to get some guys back and get up and running the way we should be.” #LetsGoOilers

Mike Babcock with a great answer on how the Edmonton Oilers’ top players respond to adversity: “What I'd say to you is I like that kind of thing. Every once in a while you need to get fed your lunch. And when that happens to you, you have a look and you say, what are we going to do to fix it? And the league's competitive, and when you play a good team that's organized, Hynesy's [John Hynes] got his team organized, and there's no room. And if you don't look after the puck and if you don't play right, you get frustrated. Now, the great thing about the real good players that have done a lot of winning is they don't get frustrated. They just keep coming and keep coming, and they know it's a patient game, and you just keep plugging away, plugging away, and you're going to get a break. And these guys are going to make their own break anyway, and you saw that on the power play [against Minnesota]." #LetsGoOilers

Brady Tkachuk on the emotions leading up to his first game against the Ottawa Senators and his mindset going into it: “I think once we get there, it's gonna hit a little more. Right now, it still feels like that game you kind of circle on the calendar. I bet a lot of people can't believe it's here. So once we land in Ottawa, step foot and see some of the guys, that'll be like, alright, it's here. So it's gonna be nervous. It's gonna be fun. Gonna be a weird but cool experience. But yeah, I'm looking forward to it." Reporter: “When you have a game that kind of has an emotional charge to it, do you try and channel that, or are you gonna try and kind of silence the noise?” Tkachuk: “Well, I think for me, it's just not wasting kind of time on it right now. So I'm just, honestly, I haven't really thought about it too much. I think once we get there, I think for me, it's just kind of using that emotion to my advantage. Because it is gonna be emotional, of course individually and just in the building. So just being able to channel that and use that in the right areas. It's gonna be special for me to be back there. I spent eight great years there and have had a lot of great memories, and that city made me who I am now. So it is gonna be a special game.” #FlaPanthers
