@frank_meehan, Frontier/1 Co-Founder, served on Siri and Spotify’s boards, invested in DeepMind at Horizons Ventures and advised Nebius. He explains why enterprises need control over their AI models, and how that shapes the secure AI cloud we’re building frontierone.ai

Thanks so much for the support to the @MistralAI team
Mistral Large 4 joins the model lineup on Open Math OS. 1.05T open weights, 1M context, live today for approved teams. Open Math OS is a research workspace where mathematicians and AI agents work on shared projects, built only on open models so the community can inspect and run them, and with the community in control of its own data. More open frontier models in the lineup means more choice for every team.

Terence Tao’s UCLA talk on Math 2.0 explores what comes after proof abundance. More proofs don’t mean more understanding. We need better questions, deeper insight, and open infrastructure. Our Open Math Model is building toward that vision: openmathmodel.org Full Video:

AI is pushing mathematics forward—but progress needs trust. At SAIR’s Science x AI Summit 2026, Field Medalist Yu Deng calls for transparent proofs, fair credit, rigorous verification, and open models that help humans and AI learn from each other. Full video:

Congrats to the @grubelai team and the collaboration with @harvey cc @HeckelReinhard
Data is a key step on our roadmap to automating the specialization loop for legal work. We're excited to collaborate with @harvey on agentic environments built from real federal court cases.

Mistral Large 4 is live on Open Math OS. @Thom_Wolf at @huggingface introduced our team to @GuillaumeLample a few weeks ago. The day after we launched, Guillaume wrote asking how Mistral could help. Seven days later, the model is live, with inference and access sponsored by @MistralAI. The support from Europe 🇪🇺 has been remarkable. @cscsch and @EPFL, and now @MistralAI is on board. Math teams across the continent have applied in numbers we did not expect. Thank you, Guillaume and the @MistralAI team.
New on Open Math OS: Mistral Large 4 by @MistralAI. 1.05T open weights. 1M context window. Available now to all approved teams.

Stellios Founder and CEO Richard Starson told us that fusion-powered space travel is closer than people think, and that trips to Mars could end up taking weeks not months: "I think that today fusion is in a similar time as AI was in 2017–2018, when transformers were invented but ChatGPT did not appear yet. The building blocks of compact fusion are already there." "There are multiple companies that will get to fusion. Most of them are focused on electricity generation. We believe we have a design that can make fusion energy not just functional, but also compact and lightweight.” "Once you've got fusion-powered engines, you can get from here to Mars in weeks instead of months."

Great post @frank_meehan Agree, and looking forward to the neocloud reconsolidation. Building the Open Math Model has put us in front of most of the major players, and the market is splitting into two layers. The bottom layer sells raw capacity to hyperscalers and frontier labs who are building their own and will show zero loyalty once it's online. The layer above invests in the ecosystem: tooling, model access, real support for researchers and builders. @nebiusai and @frontier1_ai are good examples. That layer wins the consolidation because its customers stay for more than price per GPU hour.
