The Thunder just held the Nuggets to their fewest points in a regular-season game (84) since Jan. 25, 2024 against the Knicks.
Nobody is saying “the Knicks should never do phishing tests.”
We’re saying “teasing employees with information about rings they earned but may not receive is unnecessarily cruel.” Because it is. Have a shred of respect for the people who work for you.
Replying to @SamQuinnCBS
it's standard cybersecurity practice. I've received 3 phishing test emails this week alone from my employer. It's cybersecurity awareness month.
Seems bad and silly but this is exactly how hackers breach your network. I've seen multimillion data breaches happen this way.
Assistants not getting rings on ring night? Nbd as long as they get them eventually.
Employees elsewhere in the organization potentially not getting rings? Bush league as hell.
Teasing employees who may not wind up getting rings with a phishing email? That's supervillain shit.
I've been staring at a blank QT for like 10 minutes I can't do this story justice you just have to go read it. It's one of the most batshit sports ownership stories I've ever read. Incredible reporting from Joe.
New tonight out of New York: Knicks coaches didn’t get rings on ring night. And that’s not the only jewelry related affront to some MSG employees, @TheAthleticNBA nytimes.com/athletic/7715834…
I did not expect to leave the "Ty Jerome scores 45" game marveling at a Utah defender... but Ace Bailey was so freaking good defensively and the difference between him and literally anyone else who tried their luck with Ty was flat out night and day.
I'm gonna enjoy every facet of the Yaxel Lendeborg experience. He's just a delightful ingredient to throw into the NBA stew.
Pretty surprised that Grimes isn't starting. Ziaire and Thybulle was definitely the best defensive duo for the fourth and fifth spots of the realistic options, so JJ seems to be taking the "we have Luka and Austin our offense is gonna be fine" approach to lineup decisions.
I remember seeing someone talk... idk maybe a year ago? about how basically no players get true appreciation or memorability outside of the top top guys and niche role players who are beloved in a specific city. Cited T-Mac as the example. I think about that a lot.
Donovan Mitchell believes NBA fans won’t truly appreciate him until he retires. 👀
“I’m really good. I’m really talented. I’ve done a lot. At the end of the day, when I’m done playing in 10 years, 15 years, whatever that is, people will be like, I could have appreciated this dude a little bit more.”

Well now there's reporting that Ja and Lillard will start together after all so... never mind I guess.
Good for Micah Nori. This is the sort of decision coaches often make after a handful of losses just to prove to everyone involved that it has to happen. Nori said himself Ja in the starting five didn’t make sense, and he’s not wasting games proving what we already knew.

Andre Drummond leading the Knicks in points, rebounds, blocks and steals through a quarter like we all predicted.

There are benefits to getting KPJ off the team. I don't think he's a winning player, independent of the off-court stuff. Bucks have other guys who need the ball. He's just clearly better than who Trent was last year and making way less.
