You become what you celebrate.
Culture often takes shape at the moment of celebration. Celebrate the wrong things, and you become something you’re not meant to be. What you praise, why you praise, how you praise, and whom you praise will determine who you are.
Celebrate who God is, and you become who He wants you to be.

Understanding the history of an established church is critically important, especially as a new pastor. You inherit the story the day you arrive, whether you know it or not. The past explains the present. Why does the congregation flinch when you mention a building project? Why does one family carry so much weight in business meetings? Why is there a strange tension around the old fellowship hall? Why is that scary-looking guy’s portrait on the wall? The answers are almost always historical. churchanswers.com/blog/pasto…
That was fun. Let's do it again tomorrow. #ForTampaBay

What’s happening in France is a travesty. Pray for the church’s witness in the midst of this complete chaos.
A good local sports writer should inspire you to follow the team, not leave loyal fans feeling defeated, all while maintaining a realistic perspective (in my opinion). This article from @romano_tbtimes is excellent, and what I hope is an indicator of more things to come from the Times. #ForTampaBay tampabay.com/viewpoints/2026…
Do NOT reduce pastoral qualifications to theological knowledge and preaching ability.
Often overlooked: “He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.” (1 Timothy 3:2)
Hospitality is just as important as preaching ability. Success as a pastor is determined just as much ACROSS the table as IN the pulpit.
What a great event! We were honored to recognize these twelve churches. Thankful for our ministry partners who made it happen.
This month, Church Answers hosted our first annual awards banquet in Franklin, Tennessee. We recognized twelve churches and pastors, and each award was sponsored by a ministry partner. For a few hours, the people who usually serve others were served. go.churchanswers.com/4dFcwkg
