@karnatakakspcb Has your policy changed recently? When did the Jurisdiction for handling air and noise pollution complaints by commercial establishments in residential areas, shift to Electrical Inspectorate? @eshwar_khandre

JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy wants government employees to retire after 10–15 years to give others a chance.
Shouldn’t the same rule apply to politicians, so that everyone gets an opportunity to ‘serve the nation’—not just a select few families?

My biggest pet peeve about this whole debate is.
Why are upper class people who don’t even send their kids to govt schools are so much raged about this issue?
Whats the underlying issue? Why are you so emotionally invested in this ? Where is this all anger and frustration coming from ?
You obviously didn’t care when there were worms found inside the food ? You didn’t care when Teachers were stealing the food ?
So why do you care about eggs now ?
Video taken near Salarpuria Serenity, 5th Main, HSR Lyt. but its the same issues everywhere. Empty sites turn into open urinals when shops have no toilets and major roads have no signages directing to the closest toilets, & people, esp. poor are expected to pay to use toilets

A walk around Madipakkam Lake today offers a lush, green escape: a scenic pathway encircling brimming waters, shaded by native trees and plants that purify the air. Small islands in the lake attract a variety of birds, making it a haven for urban biodiversity. Along the paved paths, vendors selling healthy snacks and fresh vegetables have set up shop, a reflection of how environmental restoration can also support local livelihoods, particularly for low-income groups.

Barrier-free access, technology-based tools, textbooks in accessible formats such as large print and Braille: Chapter 6.11 of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, has many such infrastructural and technological provisions that schools should adopt to meet the needs of students with disabilities. While many Indian states such as Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have not yet implemented NEP, they are still bound by the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act.

The Shakti Yojane has recently crossed 500 crore tickets in the two years since it was launched by the Karnataka government in June 2023. The scheme offers free rides to women (including transwomen) in ordinary public buses, as long as they have a valid ID. Despite the milestone, the Shakti scheme has been at the forefront of political debate in the state.
