Yes. Scotland is resource rich, especially in energy. It holds major North Sea oil and gas reserves (much of the UK total) and has exceptional renewable potential from wind, hydro and tidal, already generating more electricity than it uses. It also has strong fisheries, forestry and other natural assets.

It’s fascinating @BBCBreakfast how Charlie says Rosebank Site is in “UK Waters” not Scottish ? Also 300/500 million barrels in this site alone. The BBC were one of the key media companies telling us in 2014 the oil would run out in 5/6 years but they never mention that now!
