The @SandstormIO community is participating in @_FundOSS, and we'd love your support. Their quadratic funding model means small donations can get a *big* boost from the matching fund, so every bit counts! fundoss.org/collective/sands…

Merry Christmas to me! @SandstormIO transfer to self-hosted server underway.
Sandstorm Oasis (Sandstorm's paid hosting service) will be shutting down at the end of the year. We looked at it, and it just makes much more sense for people to be self-hosting at this point. We added a mass transfer feature to make it easy to switch. sandstorm.io/news/2019-09-15…
Sandstorm Oasis is currently down because our upstream hosting provider, @GoogleCloud, has apparently run out of compute resources in zone us-central1-f, which is where all our data lives. I didn't know this could happen, and I am currently investigating what we can do about it.
Oasis is almost done warming up. Service will be completely restored shortly. I apologize for the inconvenience.
We weren't happy about discontinuing the Oasis free plan. But, on the bright side, Sandstorm has reached cash-flow-neutral as a result: sandstorm.io/news/2018-10-28…
The Oasis free plan has now been discontinued, as we announced in August. If you have data on Oasis and want to extract it without subscribing, here's instructions on how you can do so: sandstorm.io/news/2018-10-18…
Heads up: On October 14 we'll be discontinuing Oasis's "free" plan. Free users will need to upgrade to a paid plan or switch to a self-hosted server. Data will remain available for export. Details here: sandstorm.io/news/2018-08-27…

The wildcard TLS cert for my personal @SandstormIO server used to require a yearly ritual of paying $125 and running some fiddly openssl commands.
No more! Today I installed certbot-dns-cloudflare, tweaked my nginx config, and now I'm done with that forever!
Thanks @letsencrypt!

@xet7 translated @SandstormIO web UI to Finnish, Thierry Pasquier to French, and there are some previous translations too. These are now visible at latest Sandstorm when browser language set to those. Some texts are not translated yet.
