Today was day one of “International Holiday Week” at my school. Students became more knowledgeable as they learned about the Diwali holiday and what it represented. Tomorrow, students will learn about Hanukkah!

Today, we had our latest installment of Perch Parliament! The nests competed in a friendly game, learned about being open-minded, and learned our new Perch song! All before 9:00 am! Great start to the day! Teamwork helped make this possible!

According to research, some of the skills that leaders need to impact teachers are communication, ability to build trust as well as create a productive climate. This will hopefully create a place for students to love and grow!#howprincipalsaffectstudentsamdachos #GSUEdlead

Some things I’ve learned- In 1988, 25% of public school principals were women. That # has grown to 54%! Also, 68% of elementary schools are led by women vs. 33% of high schools. I wonder what the reason could be for such a large discrepancy? #GSUEdlead
