NEW, with @donatopmancini & @DarynaKrasno: The US has blocked a G7 statement to condemn Russia for its Palm Sunday missile attack on Ukraine's city of Sumy, which killed at least 35 people and injured over 100, including children.

Hard to argue with this. It's in the nature of US oppositional democracy to leave allies in the lurch every four to eight years.
This is a lesson that everyone should remember:
The Americans screwed the Vietnamese, Afghans, Syrians, Kurds, and now the Ukrainians, and there is no doubt that if it comes to the bitter end, they will screw the Europeans, South Koreans, Taiwanese, and maybe even the Israelis.
No need for illusions, just look at the facts.
Trump's fawning to Putin just made him even bolder.
During the 22 days of the so-called "energy truce", the russian army killed almost 2.5 times more Ukrainians than during the same period before its announcement - Center for Countering Disinformation
So, from March 25 to April 15, the russians carried out 8 massive attacks on Ukrainian cities, resulting in the deaths of 72 people, including 11 children.
In addition, during the so-called “energy ceasefire,” the muscovites increased the intensity of strikes on civilians, stepped up attacks and shelling on the front.
