A student asked me for my #definition of #success. That made me thinking. Here it is for me.
Success, for me, is the absence of regrets. It means knowing that I've given my best effort and not feeling guilty about a lack of effort on my part. If I've truly committed myself and done all I can, I can accept the result without feeling bad. Regret only arises when I know there was something lacking in my efforts. Thus, success is about being at peace with my dedication, knowing I've done everything within my power. The outcome does not define my success.
What's your definition of success? 🤔
For the first time in 20 years' of history the Imperial College London ranked 2nd in the world (QS universities ranking), we are just behind the MIT !!! 😍 It's a proud moment for us.. Congratulations 🎉🎉 @imperialcollege
We are THRILLED to have been ranked 2nd in the world and 1st in the UK and Europe in this year's QS @worlduniranking! 🎊🥳 #QSWUR
Thank you to everyone in #OurImperial community for making this result possible! 💙
Selective bromine separation over Iodine. @angew_chem An Alkyne COF is preventing facile interhalogen formation..Wonderful work by @Ankita_De_ and @SchneeSci . Happy to be part of this collaborative effort!
Very proud of @Ankita_De_ - see her new work in @angew_chem! We used alkyne bridged COFs to capture Bromine - from the gas phase and selectively from halogen mixtures in solution. Thanks to partners from @Crc1415 and external collaborators! @SattwickH onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…
