A brilliant evening at the Glasgow Recognition Awards, hosted by @MorganStanley.
We were delighted to support fundraising efforts alongside @PEEK_SCOT, raising funds for Baby Bank Power with Morgan Stanley matching the funds.
A lovely reminder of the power of partnership 💛
We don’t just need to talk more about child poverty. We need to talk about it differently.
Our research with @jrf_uk found a key insight: facts alone don’t galvanise people. Stories do.

As children across Scotland head back to school, the financial pressure doesn’t end.
Our new polling finds 32% of Scottish parents expect to go without things for themselves to cover back-to-school costs.
No parent should have to make that choice.

We were delighted to welcome Prime Minister Andy Burnham to the Meadows Nursery in Sheffield, a pioneering partnership between Save the Children, Sheffield Hallam, Sheffield City Council and Watercliffe Meadow Primary School.
As well as meeting some of the feistiest toddlers around, who insisted on high fives and showing the PM their craft skills, he was there to launch his new devolution plan, with Chancellor John Healey and First Secretary of State, Louise Haigh.
The deal enables English mayors to keep a share of the taxes collected in their area which they can spend on local communities. The mayor of South Yorkshire, Oliver Coppard, who was there to support the devolution plan is already working closely with Save the Children on our joint child-focused investment fund and a regional child poverty action plan.
We hope now that with more money staying within each English region, mayors will take the opportunity to tackle child poverty and invest to give children a better start in life.
As the Scottish summer holidays enter their final weeks, many families are still feeling the pressure.
Save the Children found 9 in 10 parents in Scotland say the holidays place added strain on family life.

Congratulations @andyburnham on becoming the new Prime Minister.
Please make sure your door is always open for children and families, like it has been up to this point in your role as the Mayor of Greater Manchester.
We hope you work tirelessly to put children at the heart of policy making, and give them the childhoods they deserve and the foundations to reach their full potential.
