Tune in midday on @ehfm_live for our April edition of the Cinetopia Radio show and odcast. This month Cinetopia show producers @amandainflux and @jimgr review new release films RENFIELD, ONE FINE MORNING, and RODEO as well as talk about the 40th anniversary of LOCAL HERO.

The films are Local Hero (a man stands by a phone box looking at the sky), Lea Seysdous, a woman with very short red hair and wearing a backpack looks straigh ahead, bottom right corner is Nick Cage (man) dressed up as Dracula and has pointy teeth. Fire is behind him. Finally, bottom left corder is a young woman smiling as she is on a motorbike outside and wearing an adidas football jersey.

Today, I wrote to my councillors to urge them not to grant a licence to the Caledonian Heritable (owning 300 bars, night clubs, restaurants in the UK) for the Filmhouse. We don't want another pub on Lothian road. We want our cinema back @SaveFilmhouse

It's a shame they couldn't make it to today's national protest for the arts and engage in a dialogue with Scotland's residents in the public space. Isn't it what elected members are meant to do? Maybe not. But then what? @SaveFilmhouse
On her visit to the @EdSciFest Culture Minister Christina McKelvie entered into the spirit of 'Let's Experiment' - the theme for the 34th edition of the world's first and Europe's biggest science festival.

Great turnout at the @SaveFilmhouse demo for #WorldArtsDay. Our cultural institutions are being decimated, independent cinemas like Filmhouse in Edinburgh and Belmont in Aberdeen are under threat. It’s time to value the arts!

The Filmhouse has been a beacon of Edinburgh’s cultural life & independent cinema in Scotland.
Every effort must be made to save it.
If the Filmhouse is gone, it will be gone forever – we cannot afford to lose it.
@SaveFilmhouse
Tilda Swinton said this tonight about #Filmhouse @Edinburgh_CC @culturescotgov :
The Edinburgh Filmhouse belongs to Edinburgh.
It is not a privately owned commodity to be sold - without the bounds of unequivocal transparency - to a private buyer. 1/4
