New ODNR records show the agency found grounds to immediately suspend a Washington County injection well but did not issue an order, citing the operator’s wishes.

The U.S was the world’s only major economy to see greenhouse gas emissions go up significantly last year. It happened as the Trump administration gutted pollution safeguards and forced dirty coal plants to stay running.

"Five union reps said they want temporary construction jobs."
Then those union reps need to learn about what air pollution does to people (and ecosystems) PRONTO.
Because jobs are NEVER an excuse for forcing people to suffer the permanent health effects of air pollution.
45 residents including 8-year-old asked Ohio Power Siting Board to deny polluting @EdgeConneX gas plant for New Albany data center.

Global warming is precarious-- and here.
Cutting greenhouse gases by 18% by 2030, and by 45% by 2035, would yield a good chance of limiting temperature rises to 1.7C above preindustrial levels. Fiona Harvey Guardian: bit.ly/4i4jEJG

Marine scientists have warned for a long time about this.
Will the warnings about other tipping points also be mostly ignored?
Or will the world start to prioritise stopping global warming?
We can do it, but time is running.

We condemn Ramaswamy's ad featuring Donna Arthur, Dr. Amy Acton's estranged mother.
Using a survivor's trauma against them is never okay.
Save Ohio Parks proudly endorsed @amyactonoh for governor earlier this year.
We stand with her now. bit.ly/3WELxzo 3/4
But Ramaswamy's latest move is beyond despicable: dropping $4 million on an attack ad that weaponizes a survivor's childhood sexual abuse against her for political gain.
The ad is drawing widespread condemnation, including from us. bit.ly/47BE4DK 2/4
On June 7, Vivek Ramaswamy posted a video from the well pad fracking Salt Fork State Park.
He called fracking our state parks -- land that was meant to be protected -- "pro-human and pro-environment." bit.ly/3VZcmOF

Ohio Power Siting Board moved tonight 6 p.m. public hearing venue on PowerConneX 3 gas plant to power New Albany hyperscale data centers: bit.ly/4srRdZx
Why last-minute venue change? To reduce public opinion expression against air pollution?
@jbalmert @AnnaStaver

ALT EdgeConneX has applied to use 24 reciprocating internal combustion engines, plus six redundant reciprocating internal combustion engines at its PowerConneX III gas plant. The engines are inefficient and polluting -- not the best available technology. They have the potential to emit 2,026,706 tons of greenhouse gases per year, along with 178.1 tons of fine particulate matter, making the gas plant a significant climate and health concern. Roughly 25 @ohiodnr inspectors are responsible for Ohio's 96,000 oil and methane gas wells.
And the state wants to expand fracking for gas to run data centers?
This is an environmental disaster in the making.
