The +/- stats are why you don’t play your bench players all at the same time folks!
Thoughts after an embarrassing loss to Youngstown:
This team is at or near the bottom of the A10.
Fulton/Ermakov do not look ready for primetime.
Blackwood and Grahovac are desperately needed.
Philipkoski/Bill are quality players.
Bench is thin, but Kalambay gave good minutes.
I like the thought of improving student attendance, but 2 dollars a game seems like a pathetic amount. This is embarrassing and makes us look small-time.
Seems like a mistake for a program trying to get people excited for a new coach. A lot of alums who aren’t in the area would love to watch the game. Would guess this has to do with not giving Youngstown State any film, but it is terrible for the fans.
As expected, Bonnies picked last in the A10 preseason poll by a pretty wide margin. Not unfair based on on-paper roster talent, but could see us being better than a few of the teams ahead of us.
Postgame Bonnies thoughts:
1. Fouls are an issue, especially for Bill.
2. Blackwood will be a good player for us.
3. Don’t know who will score reliably.
4. Ermakov struggled.
5. 2nd half was awful after a good 1st.
6. Rotation will be 8-9 guys.
7. Joe looked good off the bench.
Halftime thoughts:
Bonnies look very good, Penn State is terrible, but still a Big 10 team.
Au-Duke runs the offense very effectively.
Ben Bill looks better than expected.
Blackwood is good, but will likely struggle from 3.
Lonati and Ikpotokin have not been in the rotation.
A new Bonnies target…
2027 Josiah Johnson-Freeman will be heading to Davidson Day this season... how big of an impact can he be for this team? #PhenomHoops

Heard a rumor that this visit went well.
2027 Hutchinson CC 7-0 C Chudier Dorar (@ChudieDorar0) took an official visit to St. Bonaventure recently.
St Bonaventure offered back in May. Dorar was named a JucoRecruiting Fab 50 Frosh last season.
Great get by the Bonnies. Was essential to land one of the two visitors with Tyndale going elsewhere.
A name to watch for St. Bonaventure.
🚨 Name to Know: Jamar Graham! The 6’8 forward at Shelton State is a player to keep a close eye on heading into this season. A former top quarterback recruit Graham made the transition from football at Alabama A&M to the hardwood and the upside is real. Don’t be surprised when his name starts generating serious buzz. Remember the name. 👀📈🏀 #JUCO #SheltonState #PortalScoop
