I remember I caught a man cheating because of TikTok. I sent him a funny video, a couple hours later I get a notification on TikTok that his ex viewed the video that I “shared with her” 😂😭💆🏾♀️ because he sent the same video to her from the link I sent.
My sister announced that she was pregnant at our father's funeral, n somehow I became the villain for asking her to wait until we got home.
Dad had been buried that morning. We were gathered at my parents' house afterward, eating, talking, and sharing memories.
About an hour later, my sister stood up, raised her glass, n announced that she was expecting her first child.
Everyone congratulated her. Some people cried. My aunt hugged her and said Dad would have been happy.
I didn't say anything.
But when she came over to hug me, I quietly asked why she had chosen that particular moment.
She looked offended.
She said she had wanted to tell Dad before he died, but never got the chance. She felt announcing it at his funeral was her way of including him.
I told her I understood her grief, but the family was still trying to say goodbye to him.
She replied,

Dear Anne,
I'm writing this because I can't say it out loud yet, and I don't want you to find out any way except from me.
You married a man who splits his own firewood, who knows every trail within fifty miles, and who cries only at movies about dogs. All of that is real. I'm not going to tell you it was a costume, because it wasn't. I love the outdoors. I love our kids so much it scares me. I love our life.
But since I was small, there's been another thing underneath, and I never had a name for it. I'd watch women in a room and feel something I couldn't explain, a pull toward being them rather than being near them. I thought it would fade. Then I thought it was shameful.
Then I got so good at hiding it that I almost believed it was gone.
It isn't gone. And I'm not telling you this because something is wrong with us. For the first time in my life, I'm not tired of being alive. Our family and this home made that possible, and it gave me enough safety to finally look at the thing I've been avoiding.
I don't know what it means yet. I'm not announcing a plan or asking you to decide anything tonight. I might want to explore it quietly, or talk to someone who knows more than I do, or just be allowed to say it to the person I trust most.
I know this may feel like it shakes the ground you stand on, and I'm sorry for the fear it could bring. I want you to hear that I'm still the man who makes your coffee at 5 a.m., and I'm still yours.
Whatever you need to feel, I'll listen. Take as long as you want.
I love you. I'm tired of hiding, and I wanted you to be the first to know.

There’s something so satisfying about watching Bree handle everyday chaos with perfect hair, perfect lipstick, and zero patience for nonsense. This line is peak Bree: practical, slightly judgmental, and completely iconic.

Every Friday, someone at our office changed the name on the conference room booking to “Kevin’s Birthday Party.”
Nobody knew who Kevin was.
There was no employee named Kevin. No birthday on the company calendar. No one ever admitted to making the reservation.
The first time, we ignored it.
The second time, our office manager cancelled it.
The third time, she walked into the conference room and found a grocery-store cake on the table with “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEVIN” written across it.
She was furious.
I was the receptionist, so I got the first interrogation.
“Who keeps ordering cakes to this office?”
“I honestly don't know.”
“Then find out before next Friday.”
I started checking the security footage….
