Muhurat trading, last 10 years. I went through the numbers. Nifty opened higher than the previous close in 9 of 10 sessions, by 0.54% on average. After the open, it closed below its own open in 9 of 10 sessions, by 0.23% on average. So the gain you see in the headline mostly came from the opening gap. Once real orders hit, sellers took over. Some people genuinely believe that if they talked about a trading strategy 5 years ago, they somehow own the rights to it, and nobody else is allowed to discuss it anymore. 😂 Iron Fly, Iron Condor, Straddles, Strangles, Ratios, Ladder - these are theoretical strategy structures, not someone's family inheritance. Every trader can have their own approach, execution, risk management and variations. Just because you discussed a strategy years ago doesn't mean someone else talking about it today is copying you or doing something wrong. A strategy isn't your father's property, and you certainly haven't patented the concept of option selling. Honestly, I don't even feel like engaging with such people. But I guess a little maturity should come with age. Unfortunately, for some, age only comes with stubbornness. 🤷‍♂️
