Good morning 💉 #antivaxxers #science deniers Another study claiming that boys vaccinated against hepatitis B during the first month of life had “three times” higher odds of an autism diagnosis has been retracted. That paper, cited for years in antivaccine circles, has now been formally withdrawn after an independent statistical review identified FUNDAMENTAL METHODOLOGICAL FLAWS: 1️⃣ cross-sectional design 2️⃣ only 31 autism cases 3️⃣ inappropriate analysis 4️⃣ insufficient adjustment for confounders 5️⃣ conclusions that overinterpreted the data 6️⃣ the observed association did not support the paper’s main claim The study had recently been cited in a rapid review on birth-dose hepatitis B vaccination for the CDC/ACIP, which helped reopen scrutiny of its methods. Science is not infallible, but it is self-correcting: a study can be published, circulate for years, and eventually be withdrawn if an independent review shows that its conclusions are not justified. 👇🏻 Original DOI: 10.1080/15287394.2010.519317 Retraction: 10.1080/15287394.2026.2673183 #Vaccines #HepatitisB #Autism #PublicHealth #Epidemiology #Retractions #ScienceCommunication

A year ago, RFK Jr. terminated nearly $500 million in federal mRNA-vaccine projects, declaring that the platform had failed against respiratory viruses. What happened next? Private and international research continued. Some candidates failed. Others advanced—and exactly one year later, the FDA approved the first mRNA influenza vaccine. A 12-part anniversary audit. 🧵

β-Cell Dysfunction in COVID-19 and Post-COVID Syndrome: Molecular Mechanisms Linking Inflammation, Oxidative Stress, and Insulin Secretion 🚨A further reminder: COVID doesn’t just leave lungs damaged, it can scar your pancreatic β-cells. Inflammation + oxidative stress + mitochondrial hit → higher new-onset diabetes risk that vaccines only partially blunt. ➡️This INTERESTING review examines how SARSCoV2 disrupts pancreatic β-cell function and glucose homeostasis, contributing to post-COVID/LongC0VID metabolic issues. ➡️Key mechanisms include: - Direct or indirect viral effects, - Persistent inflammation, - Oxidative stress, - Mmitochondrial dysfunction, - Hypoxia-related signalling, - Endoplasmic reticulum stress, and - Immune dysregulation. ➡️These impair: - Insulin secretion, - Reduce β-cell resilience/compensation, and - Promote insulin resistance. ➡️Clinical picture is heterogeneous: - Transient dysglycaemia/stress hyperglycaemia in some, - Persistent, impaired glucose tolerance, - New-onset diabetes (mostly type 2-like), or - Metabolic syndrome in others. ➡️Risk rises with: - Acute infection severity( personal note: reinfections cumulative damage!), - Older age, - Obesity, and - Pre-existing metabolic vulnerability. ➡️Epidemiological data (e.g., large cohorts) show: - Elevated 12-month incidence of incident diabetes and need for glucose-lowering therapy after COVID-19. ➡️No explicit discussion of reinfections? ➡️Vaccination is addressed as a risk modifier: Population studies (including a ~16-million-adult English cohort) show vaccination reduces (but does not eliminate) the excess post-infection risk of new-onset diabetes, primarily by attenuating acute disease severity and the associated inflammatory burden rather than by completely preventing infection. ➡️SARSCoV2 infection has been associated with … "an increased incidence of newly diagnosed diabetes mellitus in individuals without previously recognised metabolic disease,” but authors do not give any specific numerical incidence rates, percentages, absolute numbers (e.g., cases per 1,000), or hazard ratios themselves! ➡️They discuss candidate biomarkers (C-peptide, inflammatory/oxidative markers, etc.), clinical implications for risk stratification/early intervention, and therapeutic angles (lifestyle, metformin/SGLT2i/GLP-1 agonists, and experimental redox/anti-inflammatory approaches). ➡️Reversibility remains an open question! ➡️The authors conclude that post-COVID metabolic dysfunction( LongC0VID) as a multifactorial systems disorder rather than simple direct β-cell destruction in most cases. ‼️So, SARSCoV2 infection leaves a measurable metabolic scar, elevating new-onset diabetes risk through lasting β-cell stress and insulin resistance, and this is not fully erased by recovery from the acute illness. 😡Do I really still need to remind you: #AVOIDSARS2 #AVOIDREINFECTINS mdpi.com/1422-0067/27/16/708…

Well said!
I’ve realised the problem isn’t that people don’t have access to evidence. It’s that evidence is competing against stories that are simpler, more emotional, and easier to remember. For years I’ve spent my time explaining technologies: pesticides, GMOs, vaccines, chemicals, toxicology and risk. But knowing the science isn’t enough. If we can’t communicate it clearly, misinformation wins by default. So I’m going to spend more time sharing something I’ve learned after years of engaging online: How to communicate science. Not just what the evidence says. But why people reject it. Why some explanations work while others fail. How to simplify complex ideas without oversimplifying them. Because science only changes minds when people understand it. If you’re a scientist, engineer, doctor, teacher or anyone who cares about evidence follow me, I hope you’ll find something useful here.

Those who decry post-publication critiques as “censorship,” are oddly silent now. “2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccines were associated with additional protection against medically attended COVID-19 beyond an individuals’ existing immunity.” Here is that paper: open.substack.com/pub/inside…

First, the appeal to authority: Mike Yeadon is repeatedly cited as “former Pfizer” to imply insider credibility. He did not work on vaccines, virology, or pandemic response at Pfizer. Since 2020, he has made multiple demonstrably false claims (pandemic over in 2020, variants impossible, vaccines causing mass death). There was no pandemic” Here is reality: Excess mortality spikes were recorded globally in 2020–2022. Hospitals in multiple countries exceeded capacity—ICUs expanded beyond licensed limits. Independent datasets (civil registries, insurance data, national statistics) all converge. If this were fabricated, it would require: Thousands of hospitals Millions of clinicians Dozens of governments (often hostile to each other) …to coordinate a flawless lie. They can’t even agree on trade tariffs. “5.5 billion people injected” Yes—vaccines were widely deployed. That’s what happens in a pandemic. But the implication here is coordinated harm at a global scale. That would require: Every regulatory body (FDA, EMA, MHRA, etc.) Every academic center Every adverse event monitoring system …to be complicit and silent. Instead, what we actually saw: Real-time safety monitoring Pauses (e.g., rare clotting issues with adenovirus vaccines) Continuous data publication \ That’s how surveillance works - not a cover up. Wow the anti-vax folks sure work hard to make up a fairy tale
According to Dr. Mike Yeadon, a former vice president and chief scientific officer at Pfizer: "There was no pandemic, and the lie was maintained in order to inject... 5.5 billion people with an intentionally dangerous substance, 17 million of whom have died so far."

A review of 49 MRI studies shows that COVID-19 is associated with structural and functional brain changes. ➡️ Abnormalities are most commonly seen in the frontal, temporal, and parietal lobes, as well as the limbic system and subcortical regions. ➡️ These findings suggest widespread brain involvement, not limited to a single area. ➡️ The changes may explain both acute neurological symptoms and long-term effects (LongCOVID). 👉 COVID-19 is not just a respiratory disease—it has measurable, widespread effects on the brain academic.oup.com/cercor/arti…

This is Steve Kirsch @stkirsch. He has 5 papers listed in Scopus since 1980 (bless). None of them are remotely related to vaccines let alone human health.
This is Harry Eccles @Heccles94 He's a nurse. Unlike Malhotra, he's never written a paper in the scientific peer reviewed literature, but thinks he's an expert. In a discussion about COVID vaccine safety, Malhotra would crush him. Would Eccles debate anyone who disagrees with him? No way. People like Eccles all run and hide when challenged to a public discussion.

This Aseem Malhotra. He is a famous anti-vaxer and advisor to Robert F Kennedy who is on an antivax crusade in America. He was a keynote speaker at Reform UKs conference last year. Remember that when we have people dying in the UK from preventable diseases.
