Not every neural ramp is a prediction signal! Some reflect recovery from stimulus-evoked inhibition; as we show for visual/parietal cortical ramps in passive behavior. Check out our paper in @ScienceAdvances science.org/doi/full/10.1126… & news by @gt_neuro: sciences.gatech.edu/news/neu…

Extremely proud of our new paper on Heart Failure biomarker discovery! We identified C1QTNF1 protein as a biologic marker of social vulnerability and found a potentially causal association with heart failure. Our findings provide novel insights into the mechanistic link between social determinants of health and heart failure in a racially diverse population. This is the result of 3 years of work and the culmination of my master’s dissertation @harvardmed @utswheart @ScienceMagazine science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…
