What does curriculum consistency look like in practice?
For Tom and his team at @academy_fortis, one of the most immediate changes after implementing Science Mastery was greater consistency across classrooms, helping to ensure all students received a high-quality science education.
This is the first video in our new AC+ Partner School Perspectives series, where school leaders share the impact of working with Ark Curriculum Plus programmes.

What does inclusion look like in secondary science?
Science is a hierarchical subject, so new learning depends on secure prior knowledge.
An inclusion‑first approach sequences practical skills carefully, reduces cognitive load through using a “slow practical” approach, and weaves in the maths understanding students need to engage confidently with scientific concepts.
These approaches help every student understand not just what they’re doing, but why.
