You can’t spend years eroding the country — mass uncontrolled immigration, two-tier justice, prosecuting veterans, telling people they can’t have a national identity or fly their own flag — then demand young men go and die for it when the Defence Secretary suddenly notices the world is dangerous after spaffing our money on everything but defence.
You can’t ask men who aren’t allowed to feel pride in their country to die under its flag.
Give people a country worth defending again, or stop being surprised when they say no.

25 OCTOBER - BALACLAVA DAY: THE THIN RED LINE 🇬🇧🏴
On this day in 1854, the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders stood firm against advancing Russian cavalry at Balaclava, Crimea. Outnumbered and exposed, these Scottish soldiers held their nerve in one of the most celebrated acts of courage in British military history.
Their commander, Sir Colin Campbell, gave the immortal order:
⚔️ “There is no retreat from here, men. You must die where you stand!”
Sir Colin's aide John Scott is said to have replied, "Aye, Sir Colin. If needs be, we'll do that."
Their disciplined volleys broke the Russian advance, protecting the British base at Balaclava.
War correspondent William Howard Russell described the sight as a “thin red streak tipped with a line of steel” - giving birth to the legendary name, The Thin Red Line.
Today, we honour the courage, discipline, and sacrifice of those soldiers whose actions became part of our shared British military heritage.
Remember the 93rd. Remember Balaclava. Remember the Thin Red Line.
Scotland’s courage. Britain’s history.
Never forgotten.
