We are saddened and continually shocked by the abortion debate in Alabama. However the law in Alabama closely mirrors the current laws of Northern Ireland where legislation passed in 1861 leaves women with no access to legal abortion care in their own country. (1/4)

Alabama abortion law is utterly appalling. But remember- women in Northern Ireland still have no access to legal abortion care in their own country. We cannot condemn Alabama while women in the UK continue to be denied access.

We are disgusted by the recent Bill in Alabama. We know what it is like when men politicians debate our lives. This law is similar to that in NI, extensive prison sentences &only a risk to life exemption. Solidarity to #prochoice activists the world over!
