Seeing aspiring artists attack a well respected and established illustrator is doing so much harm to their careers and they don’t even know. Being a good artist is half the job. Being someone people want to work with is the other half. When those who hire see you tearing down other artists for their prices and then accusing them of AI, we blacklist you. You reveal your red flags. Art is a community. Tearing down others is not how you get ahead. In life or art.

she said she takes about 80hrs for 1 of these. do the math: $4500 ÷ 80hrs = $56.25/hr $800 ÷ $56.25 = 14.2hrs. she chose $56.25/hr as her rate. US rate, that is average for a Junior to Senior Concept Artist. she's been posting art and streaming games waaay before 2019.

Also, the post doesn't even take into account the insane freelance taxes, lmao. Hopefully some artists can learn from this. It's extremely disheartening to see them pile up on Chainsaw like they couldn't be her in the future. Well, at this rate, they won't be.

DISCLAIMER: This is the Clove model straight out of VALORANT, just for clarification 😭 Wasn't expecting this to blow up AT ALL. I merged all the UV islands and baked the maps into one texture for an old game mod. Shoutout to the Riot artists cause they did all the hard work.
