Ethiopia: At least 47 Ethiopian Christians were killed, and another 18 hospitalized, in coordinated attacks targeting them in the Oromia region.
Surviving witnesses claimed regional authorities collaborated with Islamist militias to carry out the massacre.
Church leaders have repeatedly warned local authorities about armed groups entering the area, but received no serious response.
This is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a pattern of targeted attacks against Ethiopian Christians, who militants conflate with Amhara ethnicity.
This fusion of religious and ethnic violence against innocent Christians and their churches must not be tolerated.
We condemn these evil acts and call for the protection of Ethiopia’s Christians.

I know what you’re thinking: “Wait…didn’t California vote to stop changing the clocks?”
Yes! But Proposition 7 only gave lawmakers permission to change the system. It didn’t actually stop the clock changes.
And this July, the House voted 308 to 117 to make daylight saving time permanent *BUT* it stalled in the Senate.
California lawmakers could pass a law to stop changing the without Congress, but only by staying on standard time, our winter schedule, all year.
That means keeping the early winter sunsets and moving summer sunsets an hour earlier on the clock too.
Keeping daylight saving time year-round would preserve those later sunsets and that requires a change in federal law.

Advocates went inside an LA encampment under an overpass. Dogs and kittens living in trash.
A woman told them she was selling puppies for $45 to $100.
Then animal services showed up. Asked if she had dogs. She said no. They left.
No search. No follow-up. NOTHING.
As governor, I will make cracking down on illegal breeding and puppy sales a priority.
