I scored a broken toaster oven for $1 at a garage sale. I took the cover off and adjusted a faulty switch which fixed the problem. While I had it apart I noticed the thermostat was nearly identical to the faulty one in my old toaster oven. Swapped and now old unit works again. β at Union City, CA

I've been using the motherboard RAID 1 option to mirror the hard drives in my desktop for many years. I finally acquired a second 2 TB HDD to make full use both disks. Of course you can't just increase the size of a disk volume that already exists. β at Union City, CA
So after making both 2 TB disks active I deleted the volume and created a new one using all the available space, which wiped the MBR and partition table. Was disappointed when gparted failed to recover the partition table. Luckily testdisk was able to restore access to my data. β at Union City, CA
