I've just sat through a sensitive sexual abuse hearing, which can't progress now, because Canterbury Crown Court can't afford to fix its lift for a disabled defendant.

And by the time the case can be heard in December, the defendant may have died following a battle with cancer.

So after waiting for four years he, and his alleged victim, may never see a resolution... because of money. That's the upshot.

Chronic migraine sufferer here chap, have a natter with the doc about meds, they are a huge help for me. And drink a lot of water too, you might be dehydrated without knowing it.
There is something deeply unsettling when a mayor urges you to watch a TV show they quite fancy.
Another night in... how else would we end 2020? Tune into BBC One for a special New Year’s Eve celebration. Want to find out more? Here's how. ⬇️ #LondonTogether

Tier 4: By the data we know, and not now able to see family over Christmas, it is the right move.

Just as 2020 couldn't become more bewildering, the crown court where I work has labelled its handsanitizer: DO NOT DRINK.

Hi, I'm a crime journalist in the UK. Is there any way to get in touch with Sasa? I'm looking into a piece involving historic socio-factors inside the Czech Republic following the Velvet Revolution, and would hugely appreciate some background. All the best
Quitting smoking has its benefits. There's less chance of becoming terminal, but the bombastic celestrial dreams dished out by patches beats the wicked weed hands down
You know it's chaos when you agree with this chap
OK, enough. Great that Boris is recovering well, but media must focus now on the 1000s dying & 1000s more fighting for their lives. The story is THEM, not the Prime Minister doing puzzles.

Clever prose from a Folkestone poet here. Really enjoyed this Saffron, thanks!
What has isolation taught us so far? (A voxpop is used by broadcasters to get 'the voice of the people' - apols for jargon or being patronising!) Written for the uplifting 💮@Positivepoetry2 Thanks to all my voxpop participants who's words I have murdered 🥩🗡️ to fit.

Thoughts to key workers and the pm. But also to my journalist colleagues who day in and out process this saddening material, report concisely then go about their lockdown business as they do. It'll be extremely wearing by now, no doubt

If it wasn't for this service with toothe combes and number crunchers at hand, there would be less checks and balances. And that's what the public seriously needs right now.

Sweet jesus, having your hands smell of soapy flowers all day gets maddening doesn't it.
This year is absolutely MENTAL isn't it. Today I found four individuals hanging out in my apartment's bin store, then ordered five gallons of cider and munched a chicken burger, all before noon.
