I’ve gotten more telephone calls, emails, texts & voicemails in support of congestion pricing than any other other issue - ever - during my decade in the NYS Senate (that even includes hatred from anti-vaxxers 😱)

Gov. Hochul, per her just released public schedule, has no public events scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) at this time. She has not taken any questions on her congestion pricing about face since she unveiled it Wednesday.

New: Source says the legislature is expected vote on a bill as soon as tonight that would commit $1B in state funding for the MTA. Legislature and gov are working towards a deal. Money would come from general fund/bonded out - still unclear.

I think the Governor should stand up in front of her fellow New Yorkers and the press and take questions. Explain exactly how the MTA is going to be funded and how we're going to reduce traffic congestion on our streets. Everyone is waiting.

Governor Hochul's decision to indefinitely delay congestion pricing is a major setback for climate justice, MTA funding, and traffic reduction in NY. Coming just a day before the legislative session ends, it's a frustrating mess after all our hard work!
