Thought I'd drop back into Twitter to share some open data. You can take or leave the perspective on building more accessible AR enablement. Geographers can't trying to make everything raster or vector 😂medium.com/@zephr.xyz/the-bu…

Impressive fast work by the Microsoft Azure and NASA VEDA teams to present a vision for an Earth Copilot
NASA's repository of geospatial data contains key insights on everything from climate and air quality to urban planning and disaster response—but its scale and complexity make it difficult to parse. With Earth Copilot, they're making it easier than ever for anyone to access that data: aka.ms/AAsy6xd

I'm open to new projects!
With 15+ years as a Geospatial Consultant / Specialist, and experience in marketing geospatial products, I’m looking for new opportunities.
If you need expertise in these areas or know someone who does, DMs are open. 😊
Please share if you can!
Landing in SLC for #SOTM, and it is appropriate that the in-flight map would be @openstreetmap. With the default styling no less. Definitely a cartographer business opportunity.
Someone add geospatial coordinates to all this hotness already

Thanks to @SpaceNews_Inc for letting us share the team's thoughts on jamming and spoofing. We've been doing a good bit testing in Ukraine and Israel in the last few months. The level of sophistication and power of EW attacks on GNSS are hard to overstate.

This was a ton of fun. Jed is an amazing host. Stick around for the discussion of OSM as the Fremen of mapping.
Dune: Part 3 is finally out! By which I mean the 3rd episode of @techsontexts focused on Dune is out. Thanks to @SeanGorman for doing this with me many months ago. This was a really fun conversation in which we discover that the @openstreetmap community is basically Fremen.
Tons of fun talking with Mojtaba. Thanks for the opportunity to share the team's work!
NEW AllThingsXR episode is up!
In this episode, I have a conversation with
@SeanGorman the CEO and co-founder of Zephr, a developer of next-gen location-based solutions. We talk about Zephr's unique take on VPS and how they aim to reimagine GPS.
Enjoy!

Vertical "Z" error is often the ignored sibling for the accuracy of GPS. We discuss vertical accuracy improvements with collaborative positioning. Continuing our quest for a resilient GPS network without new chips, satellites or terrestrial infrastructure medium.com/@zephr.xyz/squash…
Really appreciate the opportunity from @geoworldmedia to talk about the future of GNSS and the geopolitical backdrop helping driving it.

#newarticle | The future of GNSS is a world with more global and regional providers, new capabilities through LEO constellations, booming private market innovation, a surge in emerging technologies like autonomy and AR, but also a more complicated geopolitical landscape.
GNSS is evolving rapidly, as the world moves beyond the U.S.-centric model for satellite navigation towards a more diversified landscape of global and regional providers. At the same time, new technologies are creating expanded opportunities and private market innovation is also coming to the fore.
Commercial and government users will have more options, but geopolitical competition will increase alongside these expanding opportunities – creating new risks.

When I was cross posting about ChatGPT knowing about @NullIsland an academic shared they'd written a whole peer reviewed article in IEEE about Null Island. Super fun to read! ieeexplore.ieee.org/document…
We've had a few questions about our testing results from the @MapScaping episode. The short version, we use @sparkfun RTK units as ground truth and mount test phones with vertically aligned antennas 31cm above each receiver. Then we run a variety of static and kinematic scenarios
It was a ton of fun having a deep dive conversation with Daniel about GPS. There are a few hot takes on correction services and unit economics. If you get a chance check it out.
Zephr is reimagined GPS! But why do we need to reimagine GPS? … Is it broken?

Got my ticket for @N51Conference and excited to get back to hanging with awesome geo-peoples and enjoying the Canadien Rockies 🎉. Come join the fun!
Really enjoying being back in DC for a bit. Such a great city and fun seeing it so vibrant and active. Also so many cool map people to catch up with #GeoDC
Big shoutout to @SnapMap team for launching satellite mode! Previously imagery just came in at the last couple of zoom levels, but now it is at all levels. Also it has a custom cartographic treatment courtesy of @PetersonGIS.
The sublime color matching between a myriad of imagery source is from @youngpm as well as the backend development. Amazing group effort from Gina Li, @iandees, @kevinkreiser, @Peiti_Li, and anon led by Travis Grigsby. Really impressive what this team has built from scratch.
