In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Burnham could change tax relief on pension contributions for his projects.
Gross tax relief in 2024- 2025 was £83.9bn.
71% went to 7.7m additional and higher rate taxpayers.
29% to 30.4m basic rate taxpayers.
Giving relief to all at 20% leaves £14.5bn spare for social care.

It’s so obvious that i can’t believe it needs saying. Pensioners don’t have your money, refugees don’t have your money. It’s the rich who taken it, the clue is they have all the money. Unless we unite to redistribute wealth we will always be poor.

The supreme irony.
Jacob Rees-Mogg sold Brexit as a bonanza and dismissed warnings that breaking European unity could make war more likely as Remain scaremongering.
Now the promised prosperity has vanished, Britain is poorer and excluded from European decisions and now Rees-Mogg tells ordinary people they may have to die to save their country.
Those who weakened Britain’s economy, resilience and alliances should be the last people lecturing its citizens about duty.

"The most powerful people in the world are preparing for the end of the world, an end they themselves are frenetically accelerating. Indeed, in a strange twist on the Old Testament tale, the oligarch class, having arrogated godlike powers to themselves, aren’t content to just build the arks. They appear to be doing their best to cause the flood"

NEW: A convicted money launderer has operated at the highest level of UK politics for a decade. Why? Because Farage has enjoyed almost total impunity from the UK press.
In my new piece for @thenerve_news, I expose the decade of denial that’s enabled him to act with impunity

The largest nuclear bomb in outer space exploded 64 yrs ago today.
Starfish Prime was a 1.4 megaton thermonuclear warhead, detonated at the altitude the Space Station now orbits. It created man-made radiation belts that wrecked many satellites & lasted 5+ years.
A year after the test the USA & USSR signed the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, leading to the global 1967 Outer Space Treaty.
