Don't trust a statistic you haven't faked yourself.
Caleb Williams had only 8 deep balls before week 8. 6 of them connected. For comparison, Jared Goff had 17 so far, and connected on 11 of them.
This also does NOT include Week 8. On MNF, Caleb "Cartman" Williams went 2 for 5 on deep balls, lowering his accuracy down to 61.5% on an already small sample size.
#gopackgo fans are crashing out after learning that Caleb Williams is the most accurate QB in the NFL.
They quickly pivoted to him not being able to throw the deep ball...
WELL... They're a little shocked today to learn that #dabears also have the leagues most accurate deep ball QB. What really sends them into a tailspin is learning that Jordan Love is tied for 21st in deep ball accuracy with Jayden Daniels at 38.5% deep ball accuracy 😬
It's been a rough week for Packers fans.
Not sure if I like this definition of "luck".
I feel like "clutch" can explain the discrepancy between expected wins and actual wins just as well, if not better.
Net lucky wins through wk 8. Measured using actual wins minus sum of each game's modeled win likelihood.
Luckiest: DEN +2.5, MIN +2.3, CHI +1.8
Unluckiest: NYJ -3.0, HOU -1.9, LAC -1.5

Tactical Effectiveness is brilliant and I'm praying it's not watered down when full game is released 🤞🏻
Remember Pep, SAF, Wenger all struggled early on in their Premier League careers, then went on to have dynasties. These are good examples of what TE is trying to replicate imo
"This is football" and it's the sort of crap that is so unrealistic, it makes you never wanna play EA FC ever again.
Not only are NFC North teams 22-8 combined, they also played 5 matches within their own division so far.
Meaning: the NFC North teams' combined record against non-NFC North opponents...
...is 17-3.
NFC North teams are 22-8 combined, as the #Bears move to 6-2 with another night game on deck, Sunday against the #Buccaneers.
They jumped through all those hoops F1 put up... just to sell after one season.
But Andretti wasn't allowed to get a team.
I can guarantee you Andretti wouldn't have left after just one season.
"Mark Walter is shopping his Cadillac F1 team with an asking price of at least $3 billion, according to three people familiar with the process. There are at least seven parties interested in the team, which is wrapping up its Formula 1 season." - @Sportico sportico.com/business/team-s…
"first big game of the season"
Bayern has already played Stuttgart (UCL), Leipzig (UCL), and Arsenal (UCL) before this. Olise's stats in those games?
v Stuttgart (5-1): 1G, 8.0 rating
v Leipzig (6-1): 1G, 1A, 9.1 rating
v Arsenal (2-2): did not play, suspended
The tweet below is what an "agenda" looks like. Pathetic behavior, really.
And this is the beauty of the EPA model.
In the box score, this play shows up as a 54 yard completion.
In EPA, this scored them -0.2 EPA. Because they went from a situation where they are expected to score ~0.2 points to a situation (end of half) where they scored 0.
if I had a nickel for every time a Red Bull driver took flight in Mexico in the last 4 years, I'd have three nickels...
...which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened thrice.
Peter Bonnington might just be the greatest F1 race engineer of all time.
What a resume. 9 world championships with three different drivers as performance and race engineer.
