Acting @SecArmy Adam Telle and Acting Chief of Staff Gen. Chris LaNeve recently spent time with Louisiana State University cadets -- who are among the first to join America's Corps of Cadets, a groundbreaking @SecWar initiative that's expanding the officer commissioning pipeline.
The Army leaders also spent time with cadets at the @LSU vs. @msstate game, and Gen. LaNeve had the honor of firing the pre-game cannon.
Both leaders recognized retired Lt. Col. John Purdy for his 22 years of distinguished service and over two decades as LSU's head men's athletic trainer.
Gen. LaNeve thanked LSU for its long and storied history contributing to the U.S. military, telling cadets "Now you all are part of that history."

Andrew Rendon, Mississippi State executive director of Veterans and Military Affairs, is transitioning into a new assistant vice president role at the university.
In this newly created position, Rendon will oversee MSU’s military liaison activities with the U.S. Department of War and its recently formed Corp of Cadets, while also advancing the university’s work and reputation as a major contributor to national security initiatives and workforce development.

Just last night, in response to @SecWar’s establishment of Autonomous Warfare Command, the @USArmy announced Futures and Autonomous Systems Command (FASCOM).
This is how we couple all of the great work that's happening with our vast resources and centralize them so we can scale and coordinate.
We're pushing autonomy down into our units, but when it comes to acquisition and making sure our left hand knows what the right hand is doing, this happens in FASCOM, and feeds up into AutoWarCom and across the services.
