This one's spectacular. In the 1960s, London's Mews were still being used to keep horses. This clip spoils us with a lovely glimpse of the people, pubs, and lifestyle among the cobbled backstreets that have since become expensive housing. They certainly had more personality then than nowadays. @Britains___Pubs

Notice how when he sees a picture of his original design, he likes it instead of cringing at it or acting embarrassed? Is it so hard for adaptations to do that now?

If you don't have an idea exactly like this ready to go if you ever meet a CBS exec, then I don't know what to tell you. Mine's one where barely reformed misanthrope Ebenezer 'Eb' Scrooge consults with the cops and works through victim's past, present, and future to solve murders
New look at ‘EINSTEIN’, starring Matthew Gray Gubler The series follows the great grandson of Albert Einstein whose bad-boy antics end up with him having to help a local police detective solve cases of the week.

There is a real threat to the English language that it becomes 'Globish'; its status as the de-facto lingua franca, spoken far more as a foreign language than by native speakers, stripping it of idiom or expression. English-speaking universities ought to be a bulwark against this

I know it’s a matter of preference, but generally feels like PAL covers go harder than NTSC. PAL NTSC

a while ago I made a bunch of unhinged requests to Amazon's shopping AI about things like "the best conceal carry holster for my dog" and I'm pleased to announce it's paid off

I do wish people understood that the prose is everything. There is no story “beneath” the prose. Cartesian dualism does not exist for books. There is no distinct soul of a book that can be separated from the body its prose. The experience of reading the language IS the novel.
I just saw this in the kindle store and now you all have to suffer along with me

watching this horror anthology where bryan cranston is going crazy and experiencing fucked up mind games from a homicidal capuchin monkey and it legitimately feels like it could be a real hal b plot from malcolm in the middle

The way this colorist talks about HDR is how it should be treated by everyone who does anything with it, it’s literally a gun pointed at every frame of a movie, if the proper care isn’t taken you get really bad results. Look at THE TERMINATOR 4K
