Our president took away funds from Americans just because they live in a state that voted against him? That violates his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed.

I'm happy to work with anyone who is genuinely interested in solving problems. We all represent different communities with different needs, and even though it doesn't get a lot of attention, there are many moments where we have found common ground.
When I first started writing this bill, independence was always key. One way we're keeping the Office of Inspector General truly independent is by requiring both parties to be part of the selection process. Minnesota is on a new path to prevent fraud and hold govt accountable.
I'm proud of my record as one of the most bipartisan members in the Minnesota state legislature. I'm here to get things done and deliver real results for my community. #mnleg
I believe in holding your values and finding common ground. A recent story highlighted how I reached across the aisle to build a real bipartisan partnership and get the Office of Inspector General signed into law. Proud of what we accomplished to stop and prevent fraud. #mnleg

One year ago today, Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were senselessly murdered in an act of political violence.
In their memory, we recommit ourselves to the values that Melissa and Mark exemplified: building a kinder, more just, and loving world.
Only 29% of Americans approve of how Pres. Donald Trump is handling the economy, with 57% thinking the economy is getting worse while 14% say it’s improving.
Sometimes it feels like people are rooting for Minnesota to fail. This study reminds me why I love my state and why I'll always show up to fight for it. We have real challenges. We're facing them. And we're still the best place to live in the United States.
A major new study published today by a panel of Democrats and Republicans ranks states by quality of life. The states at the top aren't the richest, and they don't have the highest tax rates -- although they do seem to do an unusually good job executing policy and sharing the wealth that they create. Often they have opposition parties strong enough to keep ruling parties nervous and effective.
To see which state ranks No. 1 and how your state ranks (slight tease!), here's a gift link: nytimes.com/2026/06/06/opini…
Spent Memorial Day in White Bear Lake and Lino Lakes, honoring those who paid the ultimate price and the families they left behind. Thinking especially of Master Sgt. Nicole Amor and her family today. 🇺🇸
She deserves every year. The damage she did to our state might be measurable in dollars but immeasurable in the trust destroyed.
After years of work, one of my top priorities is now law. The Office of Inspector General, the most significant anti-fraud legislation in recent history, will help ensure Minnesotans' public funds are used as intended. Today is a new way forward for Minnesota. #mnleg

The Minnesota Legislature voted to establish an independent Office of the Inspector General to investigate fraud - the bill passed with strong bipartisan support in both the House and Senate.
This is an important step in rooting out fraud and holding government accountable.
