In my 45 years in IT, healthcare costs for my employers have risen double or triple the rate of inflation. Which decreased my raises to under the rate of inflation. So, as my career progressed, I lost ground. Slowly but continuously. Near the end of my career, my company (a health care insurance company) changed our healthcare plan to a high deductible plan to save costs. Which increased our healthcare costs significantly. The only solution in America is a single payer system. Medicare for all would be better. And it would save 1 trillion dollars. According to Yale. But, the health care industry is powerful and lobbies politicians to prevent any changes.
