The highlight of my festive season was graduating from the University of Birmingham with MSc in International Development. Thank you @cheveningfco @UKinKenya
Thank you my brother @DeoMunishi for highlighting this. We pity Tanzania for the road it is taking.
Deogratias Munishi: There are 17 candidates, but in reality, these are proxy parties elevated by the ruling party to create the illusion of a competitive and participatory election. Some of these parties don’t even have offices or registered members in Tanzania #CitizenDayBreak
Rest in peace, African Lion
Hon Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga was a great leader, loved and hated in the same breadth. He shaped Kenyan political landscape, disrupting the status quo and reinvesting himself every time he lost. His malleability made him an enigma.
I interacted with him once. May His Soul Rest in Peace. To Ida Odinga, her spirit kept Raila going on. She never let the state biases and brutality disorient her. I met Ida in 2013 in Woodrow Wilson Centre in Washington, DC. @RailaOdinga @IdaOdinga
Ida words about the family showed me how passionate she was. She urged me to keep going, although my young family was away from me. My sincere condolences to her and her family. Raila Odinga Dr. Ida Odinga #RestInPeace #raila

Shoe-throwing ... is a form of protest in many parts of the world. Shoe-throwing as an insult dates back to ancient times, being mentioned in verse 8 of Psalm 60, verse 9 of Psalm 108 in the Old Testament. Now you know.
A fed up nation is when the populace can no longer sympathise with political leaders' predicaments. This is always the beginning of a revolution and a self-consciousness moment. For so long, Kenyans have been seeing political leaders as demi gods, but days are gone now.
