A visual quick overview map can help teachers see at a glance, the math journey for the year! I've been working on various versions with schools. Great for PLCs, grade level planning, Big Picture Talks. You can add dates, big ideas, must have tools etc. Full of possibilities!

Findings by @MelindaMangin (2022) indicate that teachers used three strategies to support transgender and/or gender-expansive students: “Teachers decreased gendered practices, increased discussions about gender, and affirmed children’s gender.” journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs…

When we fail to accommodate diverse learners, expectations are eventually lowered. Meet students at their Zone of Proximal Development with supports that are removed when students can do the task on their own. Supports are dependent on the student, language ability & task.

Speaking is a rehearsal for writing. We cannot ask students to write in ways they do not yet speak. Learners benefit from seeing their words come alive. #LiteracyforMLLs
